Love their steak sandwich, their pupusas, the el pope salad is a sleeper hit. I’m sure everything else is delicious but I’ve only eaten these things bc they’re so good. I Eat here all the time and love the vibe and the food and the people. The owner, Mario has built a great thing and this staple of the community deserves all the praise
Food was absolutely amazing, we got the classic bean and cheese pupusas and some revueltas. They were amazing, I’ve been in Richmond for a while now and I’ve had a hard time finding true authentic pupusas and one day I drove on main street and saw El Pope. I decided to try them out and I will definitely be coming back for more in the future.
Great food, good prices. Complementary chips and salsa is a nice bonus. Ordered the 3 pupusa combo for $12, 3 taco combo, yuca fries, and we got a side of rice and beans. Everything came out fresh and hot. Definitely recommend ordering the yuca fries, it comes with a side of chipotle crema.
