Let me eat cake! I love cake and I love Poor Georgie's! I went to the South of the James farmer's market especially to try their cakes and I was not disappointed. So moist, so decadent. All the extra calories are well worth it. All flavors I've tried were delicious especially the strawberry crunch cake which sort pays homage to my favorite ice cream truck treat. Highly recommend this Black-owned business for your cake fix. Definitely getting my next birthday cake from here!
FINALLY, a pastry shop in the area with made fresh daily, from scratch, mouth-watering and palate pleasing pastries. He changes his cake flavors daily, which are sold by the slice. The icing is never too sweet, just enough to leave you wanting more. My faves so far are the Champagne, Strawberry, and Divorce cake.
