Just ordered a pepperoni mushroom and sweet onion pizza and meatballs with bread. First time here eating as I’m new to Richmond. It’s edible but definitely won’t get from here again. A boring mediocre taste. And for reference I love New York style pizza. This isn’t it. Meatballs are taste.
I started as a pizza chef about 20 years ago and have been in that field most of my life and I can say with absolute certainty that Pupatella has the best pizza I have ever had south of Jersey. I stumbled across this gem and can assure you, if you want an authentic Italian Neopolitan pizza, this is where you go.
Pupatella is like being with a really attractive woman. If I see it I'm going to try to avoid making eye contact, and if we get involved I'm going to eat so much of it that I'm probably going to throw up at some point.
