I wanted to return to Sisters café for more salmon cakes but they are closed on Sundays so I thankfully found another spot that does salmon cakes for breakfast and my search led me here. It's a bit of a drive from where I was coming from but thankfully the Sunday morning traffic wasn't bad. I ordered the salmon, eggs, potatoes, toast, fried apples and spoon bread and was so excited and the food was amazing but they ran out of spoon bread before I got there............bummer but...read full review
I was looking for some southern fried chicken like I would make, but better. Marinated meat, seasoned breading, no thick fatty skin and moist meat under crispy golden perfection. They hit the mark! That chicken was hittin!

The Lily pad is one of the rare waterfront restaurants in Richmond and it is a gem. It used to be a dive, but new renovations ( and price hikes) have made it a much nicer place to visit. I give it a 4/5 because they use single use plastic. PLEASE lily pad... get rid of the single use plastic!!
