Very strange night at the Savory Grain. Usually a friendly place with good neighborhood vibes, the place was empty on a recent Friday night - we had looked for a reservation online, and there were no reservations available. We decided to go anyway, which was a mistake. We sat at the bar by ourselves, and the bartender quickly told us she was a substitute, and didn't really speak to us again. My second trip to the Savory Grain and this was not as impressive as it was in February. They had run out of three of their main dishes and the meatloaf I got was a little on the dry side. Great mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts though. But meeting up with 3 friends so we had a great time catching up.

Sunday brunch. While the food was beautiful on the plate, the tomato quiche I ordered had no flavor. The fried potatoes were good. The service was poor. No greeting after being sat. Could not tell who our server was. We were there for 20 mins before our initial drink order was taken. The place is small and was not crowded.
