“Let me start by saying I'm really picky about what I eat , when I went in initially they selected the wrong cheese and when I informed them, they just responded to give them a few minutes and they went and made it correct. When I got home and open the food. It was fresh and it looked good The taste was the stellar for me. I had the Philly cheesesteak and it was delicious. The portion is more than worth your dime. I will definitely order from here again ...probably often. Thanks for a great experience.???“
“My family moved to this state and area a little over a year ago. So we have been in the process of locating our new favorite restaurant(s). My adult disabled son just happened to be on his way home from an early morning appointment one day. When he just happened to find this place. Deciding to give it a try, he went in and had breakfast. Well let me tell you. He was so impressed that he promptly shared his absolutely fantastic experience with every member of our family. Even bringing everyone to-go menu's. They are now our whole family's favorite breakfast/lunch restuarant. Because? The prices are more than fair. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are just incredible. The atmosphere is not only clean, warm and welcoming. But this facility is very well laid out too. It easily and comfortably accommodates any who are disabled. But the absolute best thing about this place? Is the spectacular service by the most delightfully friendly staff you'll ever meet. This is THE place (especially for breakfast ?) to eat folks. You will not be disappointed. God bless them?“
“I went on Friday and had so much fun! The staff is so nice (Brandy and the other girl). I probably had 1 too many drinks! I misbehaved a little bit. I hope I didn't seem weird and I look forward to going again soon. The food is good as well. I had it awhile back.“
“Nice find in Roanoke. Visiting a relative and looking to sample local eatery. Village grill didn't disappoint! Very friendly staff and we happened to be there on thursday, half priced burgers! Sooo Hokie burger it was. Everything was fresh and delicious and served quickly. Highly recommend. Thanks guys.“
“After hiking the Hay Rock Trail near Daleville, my best friend and I were both hungry and thirsty. He suggested that we go to this restaurant. I got a Prime Rib French Dip and a Get Bent IPA to wash it down with. The meal and atmosphere were great and the staff was friendly. Also, the men's restroom was very clean considering how much it gets used. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking good food and an ice cold beverage. We will definitely be back.“
“This was my first visit to the Pine Room and 1882 Lobby Bar although I was on a return visit to Roanoke after growing up there. The bar is elegant yet simple and unpretentious with a beautiful rounded bar, a gorgeous night sky painted ceiling, and provided me with one of the best cocktails I have tasted anywhere- their version of a rye old fashioned made with Basil Hayden dark rye. Delicious! The Pine Room is beautifully appointed, again elegant but informal. Penny, our food server was amazing! Gracious, friendly, attending to every need including needs we hadn't even thought of! For an appetizer, we all shared the crispy cauliflower. Amazing! Penny helped provide us the recipe, so we're ready to try making this at home (although I'm sure it won't be nearly as good.) Our group's entrees included the pork shank with smoked collards and sweet potatoes (a big hit!), shrimp and scallop risotto- delicious!, and a ribeye grilled to perfection. Desserts included a free form tart made with apples, blueberries, and pears, and topped with honey vanilla ice cream, and a flight of small cheesecakes. We were a group of old friends (and spouses) gathering and renewing our ties after too many years apart. In many settings, the food would have taken a distant second to the stories and reminiscences, but here in Hotel Roanoke's Pine Room and 1882 Lobby Bar, the food, drink, and spectacular service were a perfect match for a memorable evening!“
“I love this place! I love the bartenders and their fun demeanor even on busy nights. The food is always tasty and fresh, a great mix of perfect deli and bar food just like you want on a night out! Also, my husband and I LOVE when they host karaoke nights! The DJ has an astounding selection of songs and is always amiable and will even duet if asked- he’s a great singer too!! We’ve had a great time here and you will too“
“CB and Co. Is a regular for us when downtown. Of course on St. Paddys day real busy but within an hour we had our Rubin Corned Beef sandwich.Yes! and it was good. So give it try sometime. Hey CB does this review get a beefy sandwich discount sometime Huh .“
“This experience was like going back in time to one of those 70's era beer joints, although no beer served here, you can get a classic coke in a 7oz bottle,I had almost forgotten they ever existed, but there they were and ice cold. So for me the atmosphere was over the top!!! Now for the burger, hands down, one of the best damn burgers I have ever eaten, the prices are great for what you get, service is top notch,I would encourage any and everyone to give this place a try, I don't believe you will be disapointed, for me Oh yeah, I'm going back!!!!!!!“
