Chicken schnitzel is delicious! Don't understand why a good crusty bread with butter is not allowed. I asked if I may bring in my own next time. Not having exceptional bread to go with the delicious food is a real miss.
We searched for a place like this for a full year after visiting a place in Topsail that we couldn't forget. No restaurants in the Roanoke area could compete or give us what we were looking for. Stooped there for dinner on our way to Blacksburg. My husband had the braised ribs and I had the chicken schnitzel with heirloom grits, collard greens and mustard seed sauce. Sauce is creamy and tasty and marries well with the chicken, the sour collard greens were delicious and add a tangy flavor. The grit is too heavy for this dish, I would recommend removing it and replacing it with more collard greens. Service is a bit slow.
