They apologized for the inconvenience that had cause myself and my daughter and told me about some new training they were putting into place. They also offered a replacement of our order that we originally purchased for our next visit. Recently we went there and ordered the same items and we were very pleased with what we got. The root beer float was spot on and my daughter's hit fudge sundae actually had hit fudge on it this time around. I am very pleased by their response from my previous review and even more pleased as to what was done to make the customer experience much better. Thanks so much!!!Was pretty disappointed with the service and staff today (approx. 5pm on Friday 4/14/23). My daughter and I were greeted coming through the door which was nice. We went to order ice cream and was informed that there was no milk for sundaes, on a Friday and they were not stocked with cones or cups. Everything looked empty and barely organized. My daughter ordered a hot fudge sundae and I ordered a root beer float. The lady making the orders had no idea how many scoops a sundae got nor how big a scoop a float got. She was back and forth and was very confused. My daughter's sundae was pitiful in presentation and taste. She had to squeeze the "hot" but not hot fudge from a tube and my daughter said it was very bitter. The ratio of hot fudge to ice cream was extremely low. And my float was ok. Not the best but ok. When we recieved our order and were on our way out we were barley noticed by the gentleman behind the counter with headphones on. If I had not had an issue with the door then he would have never have noticed we were leaving. I'll go back only because the Dilly Dally is an iconic part of Salem but I really hope they can improve on the feel and presentation of what an ice cream shop really is.“

“The Salem DQ is one of the best I've stopped at! The staff is very attentive and courteous. My #7 was delicious and came back the next day. The management should be proud of their employees and how they treat there customers! Awesome experience“
