“Love this new place for Homestead Creamery ice cream! The staff are always very friendly, but I think sometimes overwhelmed with the volume of customers! However, that does not deter us from going there regularly! The interior decor is cheerful and bright! Favorite flavors include espresso chip, Hokie tracks, lemon crunch and peanut butter cookies and cream! Haven't tried their hot dogs.“
“Love the Ice Cream Cottage and all of the memories it brings! I loved visiting as a child and I love going back now to visit as an adult! There is nothing like a good bowl of ice cream on a hot summer day with the lake breeze blowing through your hair. I was slow to get a picture so our icee cream already started to melt, but it was amazing none-the-less!“
“Took my four year old here for the first time two weeks ago. We had the deep dish Sicilian and by gosh was it delish! It was an experience we won’t forget. Between the quality of the food and the service, Mr. Juan turned first time customers into customers for life ? We finished our dine in experience with a chocolate milk shake to go. A little on the pricy side but oh so mouth watering!“

“Visited with friends on a getaway weekend. We purchased many of the alpaca products and ate ice cream sundaes (the best ice cream, I can remember ever having eaten in my life! seriously!). We enjoyed some great music while we sat outside and had the ice cream lunch. It was a lovely time and I hope I find myself in the area to visit again.“
“What a cool little shop this is. It was an old Dairy Queen they converted. You can barely tell though with the cool decor though. The food is reminiscent of an old diner but cool twists. I got the brisket sandwich with cheese curds. They both were cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I highly recommend upgrading to the cheese curds. Definitely worth it and I will be back the next time I come through for work.“
“I’ve had the opportunity to visit Mia’s Sweet Factory at their new location on Scruggs Road. To say their desserts and drinks are amazing is an understatement! The cheesecakes are top notch and the iced coffee are top notch.So nice to have an option other than CJ’s on Scruggs Road - especially a place where the employees are kind and seem to genuinely love their job!!I will be back!
