“I want to start off by mentioning that my husband and I are “average” people. For anyone reading this review, I say that because I was a little nervous about how I would feel eating here. Well, I have never felt more comfortable at a restaurant in my life! The atmosphere was intimate, service excellent and the food was beyond what I can put into words! “We went for lunch on a sunny Saturday. All that was available outside was a table without an umbrella, which we took. But when an umbrella table opened up we were switched. Just one example of the superb service. Both the curry chicken and pulled pork were excellent. Best Pommes Frites ever. Beautiful setting. And dog friendly outside!“

“What a lovely inn! It begins with the care that the innkeeper Amanda puts into contacting you and continues to a fabulous breakfast. My daughter and I did a trip to have dinner at the Inn at Little Washington. Amanda met us at check-in and had some great suggestions to enhance our dinner experience. Our room was clean and well appointed.
Then the next morning our breakfast after the decadent meal at Inn at Little Washington was so thoughtfully done. Amanda has taken time to perfect her recipes. Fantastic light and very much European style scone, amazing scrambled eggs wrapped in a light crepe with a bearnaise sauce, and finally a light but perfect lemon posset. We would recommend the Foster Harris House to anyone and would return there ourselves. Thank you Amanda!“
