“Have to agree with the other reviewer who said the food here is better/tastier than a lot of the formal restaurants' nearby. Specifics: kimchi jjigae tastes like authentic/home-cooked, samgye tang super flavorful broth (with tender chicken), dduk mandoo guk broth clean and not too salty, haejang guk again clean broth not too salty and a generous portion of quality beef.“

“Cherokee Cafe is a deli style restaurant that is nestled in an office building on the 1st floor. I work pretty close so I've been dining here for lunch for quite a while, and had an extensive amount of options of food. It's a very hole in the wall atmosphere but hold the charm and the cooks and owners are very very nice. They don't mind explaining the menu and customizing to your needs. The main item I get for breakfast is the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant by far my favorite. As for lunch they have all of you necessary deli sandwiches, but daily feature rotating special that come with fries and a drink which is a price break from getting fries and a drink a la cart. My favorite special they have is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and special they run from time to time are the beef or chicken tacos. I love how they butter and grill the tortilla. If you are in the area for breakfast or lunch, and want some hot made to order food quick and fast. Stop in a support this local business.“

“A few of my friends and I went for lunch during the week -- it was our first time, and we all enjoyed it. I got the spicy turkey avocado sub: the bread was perfectly toasted, the right amount of crisp with the right amount of soft chewiness; turkey was thick and warm; and the melted cheese layered with spicy mayo made everything come together. Yum.The fries. My favorite kind: super crispy and fresh - I could eat them every day. I asked for a side of spicy mayo with them and it was the perfect combo. Finally, also had the pumpkin spice latte with oat milk - everyone is obviously different when it comes to their coffee, but it was the perfect consistency/flavor for me. One friend got a burger with fries and she devoured it; my other friend got the chicken noodle soup with fries, which she enjoyed very much as well (can you tell we loved their fries??)The ambience was great! It was very busy considering it was around noon, but the three of us were able to find a table. Jaylin, the manager was extremely sweet and always had a smile on her face, as I requested for extra things, like a cup of water, extra sauce, etc. She kept offering a bag and I said no, but I later realized I really should've taken that bag, since I took half of it home. I am definitely coming back, even if it's just to pick up and go - I want to try the other menu & I'm already missing them fries...“

Fort Myer Dining Facility Cafeteria •

“Have worked fast food before and was a shift manager so I understand. When you’re given equipment and space that is hard to work with and constantly getting complaints about food that you can’t change, It starts to way down on you. Still though every time I’ve gone I was given healthy choices. I just wish there was more healthy Choices. Like a salad bar instead of the fast food choices. They serve salads but I’d prefer to make it my way. Regardless it’s the Army so it’s really not as bad as people say it is. Food is moral.“
