District Taco is new to me. I did read reviews before I checked it out and decided I needed to check the place out for myself. This particular location was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon. There is plenty of parking as it is located in a shopping plaza. When you enter the restaurant there is plenty of seating with a few high top tables. Man, we really want to like DT but at every step they seem to have deliberately made their product and experience as generic and robotic as possible. First, you order at the kiosk so as to avoid any interaction with staff. The kiosk works ok I guess but the interface is clunky and tedious. We checked "eat in" but our order, like every other, was packed to-go, with everything double-wrapped and in a big paper bag that we just threw away after walking 5 feet to our table. I ordered three fish tacos, jefe's way, on the web, which told me my order would be ready in 10 minutes. As I live 15 minutes away from the store, the order was ready for me when I got there. I took the tacos with me and ate at home. The tacos were very tasty and still warm. The store itself is rather nondescript and very brightly lit, as others have noted.
