“Got the ribs and pulled pork plus some sides today. Excellent meats, smoked to perfection, tender and lean. The baked beans must be baked in the smoker as they tasted like it.The coleslaw has just the right amount of mayo and celery seed, not too much. Glad we bought enough for a leftover dinner too.”

“I have eaten at Broad Porch Coffee Company twice now. The first time I had the chai latte with a Biscuit Sammy and both were very delicious! The second time was at their Porchlight Plates, private dinner service which was managed by Brandon Tapley, whom I must say did an impeccable job! The food creations, by Maria Cooper, during this event was incredibly scrumptious! They provided a very memorable dining experience with beautiful ambience and decor! The service by Abby was impeccable and the live music by Tjax_21 was fantastic! I really can’t say enough good things about Broad Porch or recommend it enough! You simply have to try this place out.”

“My husband and I came here for a casual dinner and it is a really nice spot with lots of outdoor seating. My husband got the orange chicken, which he liked, especially because it was crispy and flavorful. I got the drunken noodles, which were good but came with ramen noodles rather than the typical wide noodles used in the dish. The staff were really busy but kind and attentive! Great little place for a casual dinner or take out.”

“We were pointed to the direction of Flotzies by a wonderful server at Ollie Cat Cafe, after eating dinner. We are not from the Luray area and wanted to get some ice cream for dessert from a locally owned place. Flotzies was a wonderful experience and had just about anything that you could ever want to order. We ordered milkshakes as we were driving home. The milkshakes were delicious and had great flavor. We will definitely be returning to try other items from the menu when we are back in the Luray area.”

“Been here a few times and the food was excellent and owners have did a lot work to the place and it looks nice .on Mother’s Day we eat there and waitress was so sweet and told my wife and mom happy Mother’s Day .It’s only been one time eat there and it was satarday night and the waitress was a young girl and didn’t give us plates or sliver wear, or napkins ,the other waitress had too and she didn’t check on us much .I know they was busy but she walked by us to give other tables food so she could have stopped .the other waitress had to refill my wife’s drink and she even stopped and ask if we need anything .other then that it was excellent!”

“Food and service were great! Our server was very helpful and polite. The atmosphere felt casual but the food was good quality. My only criticisms are I think the garlic knots/bread could use more seasoning or maybe melt some cheese on them, I wish the fat would've been cut off of the chicken, and maybe add a few tables that can seat a larger group. We came in as a group of 8 and no one table could fit us, so we sat at 2 tables for 4. Would highly recommend this restaurant.”

“If ever in the shenandoah, va area and want really good southern food. You have to check this place out! The owner Bj and my cousin Gary make the best food we have ever had. My hubby and Daughter are picky eaters they even loved things they never did like before. Love the southern atmosphere and the little things that people make/sell inside. “This was the most amazing food myself or my husband have ever had! Many many kudos to the chef! Very high end restaurant in a historic hotel. Make reservations as there is very limited seating options. Not a child friendly environment. Although we did not wear formal attire and they did not look down on us at all for our clothes, everyone else was dressed very formal.”

“My husband and I were visiting Luray for a few days. We wanted a simple but good breakfast. And Alexander's delivered. My husband had the Belgian waffle & bacon and said it was great. I just had eggs, scrapple, and a biscuit. Again, simple. But we'll done. The scrapple was perfectly crisp on the outside and still soft in the middle. The decor was is so charming. We loved the mismatched dishes. But the best thing was the service. We unfortunately didn't get the name of the lady who sat us, but she was very welcoming. And we can't say enough about our server Tammy. She was fast, attentive, funny, and polite without being stiff. And we found a great place for dinner from her recommendation. We definitely recommend for people visiting Luray.”

“I was starving and ended up here—got the Italian sausage (basically a giant hotdog) and it was so good. The staff is super friendly too, which made the whole experience even better.

Only thing is… some of the customers ordering need to chill. Like, you wouldn’t talk to your boss like that, so why do it here? That’s definitely not on the employees though. I actually felt bad for them.

That said, this place is solid. I do wish they had more slushy flavors, but major props to the crew—they seem like they really enjoy working here. One guy literally talked about ice cream sprinkles for 5 minutes straight 😂 You can tell they hired the right people.”
