“Just finished a great lunch here. We settled in outside, Calvin took our order and shortly brought it to the table. A warm summer drizzle added to the ambiance under the wide table umbrella. After the second bite, the torrent hit and Calvin appeared to hustle us and our meals indoors to dryer accomodations. Thank you, Calvin for great service!!! And the chef is appreciated too as the food was first rate.“

“EXCELLENT sandwiches and services! This was our first time visiting and could not have been more impressed with this restaurant. My husband, who is incredibly picky and hates trying new things loved his Italian sandwich so much he got one to go. Our server was able to suggest a wine that was also delicious. “My husband and I were in town for the Virginia Scenic Railway and stopped at Kathy’s before our trip. The food was delicious, and the bread pudding was absolutely incredible. What truly made our visit unforgettable was Debbie, our waitress. She was so genuinely kind and warm that she literally brought me to tears. She shared that she works part-time for her customers and said that had she already been retired, she would never have met my husband and me. That really touched my heart. We left saying we would gladly make the three-hour drive back and we would absolutely return to Kathy’s. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience we won’t forget.“

“Unfortunately lately I have been somewhat disappointed in Cracker Barrel. I used to order a grilled chicken, bacon and cheese on sourdough bread so good! It is no longer on the menu 😢 For awhile they had tator tots as a side for breakfast no long available 😢 they have a broccoli casserole as an up side? I ordered the pot roast bowl and the casserole as my side, when I got my bill I was charged an extra $3.89 cents for the casserole when I asked why I was told it wasn't on of their normal sides so I had to pay extra, I can understand an up charge of maybe a dollar but having to pay for it separately at full price was very upsetting 😡 which actually meant I didn't get what my meal come with another side. The biscuits used to be like an appetizer now if you don't ask you don't get you are not giving an option. They no longer fix omelets for breakfast? I feel they are taking so much of the old fashioned food and your lucky if you get a good waitress but you can see a lot of them standing around starring at the customers? Not one of my favorites anymore 😢“

“Can't say enough as to how good the food, service and atmosphere is at the Mill Street grill. We had the trout and the prime rib both very nice. Salad was very good. Drinks were perfect! Wait staff over the top!“

“Last night we had a family meal at Zynodoa, there were 11 of us. There are many restaurants who like to say they are Farm to Fable sourcing locally. Zynodoa is Farm to Table! Starting with the excellent service by Sarah and the wait staff. The starters, the main dishes, the sauces. "Par Excellence"“

“My husband and I ate at Hometown tonight. It was like sitting down to dinner at home but better. Comfortable, welcoming, genuinely friendly. We opted for the buffet and were not disappointed. The salad bar was fresh with any option I could think of. The entree meats and vegetables on the buffet were superbly seasoned And HOT. Every dish was as if it had just come off the stove, crispy for the things that should be crispy and likewise creamy where it should. The fried chicken and fish were fantastic. The fruits were sweet and tasty. And the peanut butter pie was piled high with yumminess. The entire staff had a great sense of humor. We left wishing we lived close by so we could come more often. You really don’t want to miss eating at this jewel of a restaurant.“

“We had played a show last night in Verona Moose Lodge 2172 and we stopped in like we aleways do afterwards. We were starving after playing 4 hours and the food and the service were awesome!“

“Went today for lunch! Haven’t been in years! When I say the service and food were beyond I mean it! This is the best service and food I have had in awhile eating out. We didn’t have to wait, the server and other person who brought drinks were polite and fast! They checked on us! The food was perfect! Not only did our server give us to go boxes she also gave us to go cups for our sauces and queso without us asking. This so what makes me want to go back to a restaurant!“
