When on the porch at Rubinos and the weather is beautiful and you are looking over the Cascades Course there can be no other place on earth as beautiful.“

“The wife and I eat there a few times a year while on our annual camp trip to Bath county. All the food we have had has been excellent and the service is always on point. No complaints here.“

“We had such a wonderful dinner at Jefferson's! Alex was our server and from the moment we sat down he made sure we will well taken care of. We had the most beautiful view in the windows overlooking the lawn and mountains. The menu and chef are spectacular! We had the crispy lobster and French Onion and Crab soups to start which were perfectly prepared and flavorful and each had various mains. My husband was raving about the veal ragu and I had the filet with crispy Brussels sprouts. Boy those sprouts are amazing!!! Never take those off the menu. It will be a tradition for us to return to Jefferson's. Would also love to see a no kids dining room or evening for just adults and kids did take away from the premium experience that Jefferson delivers!“

“We ate at this restaurant for my bachelorette weekend trip and our server was so kind and sweet and brought the table glasses of champagne and a strawberry shortcake dessert.

The food was good, I would highly recommend the pizza. It tasted fresh and light.

It seemed like it was the restaurant to go too for families with small children staying at the Omni so the atmosphere was a little busy and loud. If you’re wanting more of a quiet spot, sitting outside seemed nice!“

“Decent food, drinks and service, in an iconic setting dating back to the Gilded Age. Really that is what you are getting and paying for. A beautiful escape in the middle of rural countryside, getting to on a wonderful drive. Yes, the food could be a better (it is by no means bad...any idea how hard is to provision a hotel in such a location with staff, a quality chef, duck, etc? That is a feat in itself). Service started perfect but then slowed down as the restaurant got busier after 730. That said we very much enjoyed our visit from the food Mecca of Charlottesville, coupled with the stiff Negroni (yasss...), a visit to the ethereal Warm Spring baths prior (silence, swallows, warm goodness...) and had a perfect Saturday escape. Will be back!

(One easy thing to fix, management: lose the tablecloths. Coarse, worn, stained, they clash with the beauty of the space and immediately downgrade everything.)“

“We ate dinner there last night and stayed in the Silo. All we can say is, "Wow!" The trout was out of this world, definitely highlight of our trip. Wish we ate there both nights of our getaway. Our dinner down the road was not nearly as amazing. Set the bar very high. We will just come back to the area to eat dinner here.“
