“I recently visited Oliva’s Kitchen Food & Fusion in Bethesda, and it truly feels like a hidden gem. It’s a small, locally owned spot that you might miss if you’re not looking for it—but it’s definitely worth finding.

I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it did not disappoint. It was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying without being overly heavy. The ingredients tasted high quality, and everything was well-balanced. And honestly—one thing that really stood out—they actually know how to wrap a burrito. That’s surprisingly hard to find on the East Coast, and it made the whole experience even better (no falling apart halfway through!).

What stood out most is how this place blends comfort food with a unique fusion twist. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and you can tell there’s real care behind the food.

“Open late and everything tasted so fresh and authentic! We were looking for something to eat late on a Sunday night and a friend recommended Picamas since they lived nearby. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was so good. The tortilla was really soft and the chicken was so flavorful and went really well with the rice and veggies in the burrito. The owner was so friendly and they really made an effort to prepare our meal for us. Overall great food and we’ll definitely be coming back!“

I recommend the Quesadillas as they are stuffed with meat unlike other places. If you are into Bourbon or Tequila, their is a huge selection not just the same old stuff everyone else has. “Last night was my husband’s and my first time dining here, and it truly left an impression. One of the first things we loved was the restaurant’s commitment to giving back to the community. As soon as you walk in, there’s a sign explaining how meals are donated to local women’s shelters and how guests and staff can pay it forward by purchasing meals for those in need. Anyone facing a tough time can simply take a ticket from the wall for a prepaid meal such a thoughtful and meaningful concept.

Our server was absolutely phenomenal (I wish I remembered her name! -- She had long red wavy hair). She took the time to walk us through the menu, shared her personal favorites, and recommended several must-try tacos. Let me just say… she did not miss!

Every single bite was bursting with flavor. We tried the birria, Havana, Rus & Gus, and Peruvian chicken tacos, along with the street corn salad and veggies on the side and everything was incredible. From the food to the service to the heart behind the restaurant, this place checks all the boxes.

We ordered a variety of tacos, and for myself, I got a ‘Can I See A Manager’, the ‘El Gringo’, and with a side of ‘The Other Fries’ containing nacho cheese, pico de gallo, jalapeno, and salsa valentina. Our food was delicious
…but there was a long black hair that was found in the fries, that is a no-no.“
