“I recently visited Oliva’s Kitchen Food & Fusion in Bethesda, and it truly feels like a hidden gem. It’s a small, locally owned spot that you might miss if you’re not looking for it—but it’s definitely worth finding.
I ordered the breakfast burrito, and it did not disappoint. It was fresh, flavorful, and really satisfying without being overly heavy. The ingredients tasted high quality, and everything was well-balanced. And honestly—one thing that really stood out—they actually know how to wrap a burrito. That’s surprisingly hard to find on the East Coast, and it made the whole experience even better (no falling apart halfway through!).
What stood out most is how this place blends comfort food with a unique fusion twist. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and you can tell there’s real care behind the food.
If you’re in Bethesda and want to support a small business while trying something different from the usual spots, I’d highly recommend checking this place out.“

“Huge shoutout to Tyreke and Maya at the DC Wharf location. Both of them recommended the glazed pork belly taco and bowl. Let me just say they deserve a promotion! The pork belly was the best tasting food I’ve ever had. Holy cow thank you both of you for that recommendation. Also, an additional shoutout to Tyreke for the churro selection for us off the dessert menu. I mean this has been the best meal we have had since being in DC! Thanks again for the recommendations and hope to see you in Indiana when you open one in our town 👊🏻👊🏻“

“Taco Bamba was playing some rocking music when we ordered our Tacos on a great fall day. The portions are reasonable and not huge. Flavor instead of large size, with several tasty dressings you choose yourself, after preparation. The quesadillas with carne asada were packed with flavor and quality sear.“

“The food is great and the staff are friendly. Of course I ordered the fish/shrimp tacos due to the name of the restaurant. Shrimp was amazing, literally all the flavors were amazing, but something was missing on the fish that I couldn't place. Added lime and salsa and it still hit the spot.“

“I was in the area running an errand and wanted to find a spot to grab something quick, casual, and satisfying. Taco Bamba checked every box, especially after I spotted an Al Pastor taco on the menu, which to me is always the sign of a proper taqueria.
The menu is extensive, and I really liked that you can order tacos “clean” or “dirty.” Naturally, I went with the dirty version. I ordered the Al Pastor and the El Rico Pollo, and both were packed with flavor.
The tacos were vibrant and colorful, topped with fresh pineapple, onions, and plenty of meat. From the very first bite, I could tell this was the real deal. The portions were generous, and every bite was loaded with flavor. Honestly, they were so good I could have easily ordered more.
The tortillas had beautiful blistering from the grill, adding the perfect texture and slight char to each taco. Even the chips stood out. They were crispy, lightly salted, and tasted fresh out of the fryer.
If you’re looking for flavorful tacos in a laid-back spot, Taco Bamba is definitely worth the stop.“

“I am a fan of San Ramons, the spicy salsa is perfect...its spicy, the green salsa tastes fresh and the their house salsa is really good too. The tortillas are maize! Corn. Which is the way. “My partner and I came in for dinner and left thoroughly impressed. We ordered the Mex Amigo taco, Greek taco, steak quesadilla, and grilled misfitz, and every single dish delivered. Everything is made in house—down to the sour cream, salsa, and even the shredded cheese. As two people who are pretty health conscious and cook exclusively with olive oil at home, we really appreciated that Wild Tacoz does the same. It made the meal feel just as clean as it was delicious.
The flavor was incredible across the board—rich, fresh, and clearly made with love. Every bite tasted like it came from people who genuinely love what they’re doing. Honestly, a solid 100/10!!
On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. James, the owner, along with Teddy and Helena, were warm, kind, and made us feel completely welcome. Their hospitality alone make this place worth visiting.
We will absolutely be back, and we’d recommend this family-owned gem to anyone looking for a fresh, flavorful, and genuinely heartfelt dining experience.“

“Catherine at the Scratch Bar makes some of the best margaritas I’ve had. You can really tell she takes pride in what she does because the quality shows in every drink. “Taco Ssam is great!!! Happy hour from 4-8 every day,(no one does that) , Food is authentic mexican style ,with some korean infused dishes. I recommend the Quesadillas as they are stuffed with meat unlike other places. If you are into Bourbon or Tequila, their is a huge selection not just the same old stuff everyone else has. Waitresses are very friendly. 10/10“

“I love all the service team at El Bebe! They had the best Valentine’s Day menu set. The wait staff is so nice, I have a young baby and they literally are watching her grow up it’s the cutest. Emma is also first class customer service. She remembers your orders, has an eye on the timeline and always has a smile. My family goes back pretty much for her. Anyway great location, great service, biria taco is amazing.“

“Amazing place for tacos and some mexican food. I love love how the tacos are larger than most places. I got the lunch special, which comes with rice and beans and two tacos that are plenty enough to make you full. The carne asada was the perfect choice (I think it is carne asada but correct me if it is al pastor). I later got this $9 breakfast burrito- very good at good value.“
