Please take care of the flies. They say to get rid of them, take out the trash.
Buyer beware.... find a better restaurant. The food was absolutely disgusting. Everything was cold. My wife and I went there for lunch and we were thoroughly disappointed. It was our first time eating phillipino food and we we excited to try it. The food didn't seem to be fresh. The food was bland and the portions are small. There were flies everywhere. We didn't notice until we sat down. There was a kid at another table that was fanning the flies while he was eating. We both threw our food in the trash and we left.

Ordered delivery from here and it came on time, but the way they packaged the food made a huge mess all over the bag. The food was okay. Typical carinderia-style Filipino food.
Chicken adobo = just okay, strong vinegar taste, not savory. Wouldn’t order again.
Beef nilaga = not good, bland, tender beef, although portion was huge, this was a huge disappointment.
Chicken bbq = very good, tender, savory.
Pork bbq = tough meat, savory, but burnt!
Longganisa = very good.
Ginisang upo and monggo = satisfying
Sinigang soup = very good, very sour.
The pork BBQ was a huge disappointment. It’s marinated well but how they managed to burn it is ridiculous. You can’t really eat most of it.

I was craving some filipino food for lunch and came to Ihaw Ihaw Filipino Cuisine. When I entered the restaurant, there was an unpleasant odor like greasy fried food which hasn't cleared the restaurant.
When I ordered food, it was your basic, what do you want. Seemed like the workers didn't want to be there. Granted, I did go on Memorial Day. I ordered the Kaldaretta and Dinuguan.
I have to say that each of the items were all fat and no meat. I get it, filipino food has a lot of fat, but this was ALL fat and no meat. The portion size is also VERY small. Even though it was small, I only took a bite out of each, scavanged for whatever meat I could find and gave up. The dinuguan also didn't taste like dinuguan, it was very heavily peppered which was disappointing.
Well, after a bite of each, I threw away the food. It was absolutely disgusting. I can not recommend this place because of the restaurant vibe, the smell, and the qualiy of the food. Wish it was better, but unfortunately it wasn't.

I have ordered doordash here and when my order came i was missjng one item and when i called this restaurant. They kept insisting that they put my food item in the bag which i kept telling them its not there. Then they proceed to blame the door dash driver when i asked them if they could replace it they want me to pick it up like it was my fault that i didnt put the item that i ordered. Truly displeased how they handled the situation.

The employees are kind and welcoming. The prices are affordable. Unfortunately, they didn't have most things they claim to serve on the menu. No fruit juices. No BBQ. No lumpia. No pancit. My first time here was really disappointing. Why have a menu if most of those items are unavailable? Very misleading.

Ihaw Ihaw Filipino Cuisine is one of those places that feels genuinely rooted in tradition. The flavors are bold and comforting, the kind of food that tastes like it came straight from a family kitchen rather than a commercial menu. You can tell there’s care in how everything is prepared — it’s not rushed, it’s not watered down. If you’re looking for authentic Filipino dishes in Virginia Beach, this spot delivers both flavor and heart

I was excited for the Bicol Express, to me let down tremendously. Where was the heat? The flavor? The creaminess and funky broth?
The fried sweet plantains were great, but I was most excited for what might possibly be the worst offering on their menu.
It's like expecting your mothers home made lasagne, to pull a Stouffer's out of the fridge.

Everytime we are in the area, we always stop by here enjoying the home cooked meals. The food is very flavorful and they are very generous with their rice servings. You also get a free sinigang soup.
Best place to get some Filipino food in the VB area in my opinion. They usually have a 3 entree special that doesn’t hurt the pocketbooks! Love their savory and sweet BBQ pork belly!!! Kalderetta is also phenomenal!! My whole family loves to eat here!!! Top notch!!

Did not know this gem even existed but I am glad I found it. Got lunch here with my family and they were so kind and accommodating. The halo halo was amazing. Their longanisa also has no dyes!!
