“This is the first ever review I’m making for any restaurant or establishment. And I’m making it because I felt it was necessary. I ordered a cantaloupe drink with 30% sugar. But when I got it, it tasted really sweet. The kind staff offered to put it in a larger container and add more coconut milk. When I got it , it was still very sweet, like as if it was at 100% sweetness.

I’m making this post to point out how great the staff handled a customer like me. I wasn’t being crazy or anything but they handled my concerns and the situation with professionalism and even offered a new drink entirely. The new drink I got was the mango foam milk tea and it was awesome.

I highly recommend this place not only for the drinks, but for the calm and accommodating staff.

“We wanted muffuletta sandwiches on Fat Tuesday so we decided to try Clayton's for lunch! Susan & Shakuria were hustling to take care of their customers, they did a great job ensuring we all were served to the best of their abilities & that we received delicious food & beverages as quickly as they could provide them. They worked well as a team, Susan taking orders & serving and Shakuria cooked all the delicious food!! I had a yummy Muffuletta with Mac & cheese and hubs had fries with his. Their Mac & cheese is crazy good, the best l've had in a restaurant! Susan mixed up a tasty lemon drop martini for me, it's difficult to get a good lemon drop anywhere in the 757 and this one was a favorite! Clayton's has a good selection of $1 beers, yes a can of beer is only $1, so hubs had and local IPA & a PBR! We enjoyed our experience at Clayton's & definitely recommend! If we hadn't been set on having muffulettas I would have ordered their special of the day, a butter burger with fries for $8.99! On Monday I sent Clayton's an email inquiring if they would be serving muffulettas for Fat Tuesday since we live 30 minutes away and received a timely reply from the owner, Ralph Anderson, I was happy to see that they provide great customer service from beginning to end!“

“Session was my first stop when I got off the plane in Norfolk and it did not disappoint. My food was delicious with very generous portions. It is often difficult finding a restaurant with a variety of vegetarian options but they are plentiful here! The atmosphere was upbeat and fun, yet casual. “Have been coming here now for almost four years, we've been to some of the other tropical smoothie shops around town and hands down this is the best location in terms of quality and consistency of smoothies made, well made hot wraps, courteous staff, and a generally nice/clean location. I believe the owner of this location is frequently on the floor helping out (not 100% sure if he actually is the owner, but his demeanor and leadership would make it appear so, if not hats off to the only non young teen gent working), and I think that's why this location tends to be the best running and all around one we will always opt to go to even if it's out of the way. Speaking of younger staff, the majority of the crew here is in the younger adult category, but they have always been respectful, well groomed and well dressed,and they seem to step up into being a mature and professional group while on shift. Pointing out the age group specifically at this location as they are well put together (in my opinion from leadership differences and setting expectations/an example) which is in stark contrast to the other stores where employees of a similar age group (but also in general) are often nonchalant, seem that they could care less about another human or quality service, hats on sideways, shirts and baggy pants, letting dirty tables and trash over run the place (namely the VB Blvd location in Collins square, food safety violations galore). Mainly pointing this all out 1) to let other customers know that this is the location to pick over the others, but 2) for the staff if they happen to read this so they know their efforts and professionalism are noticed and to keep it up! “I absolutely love this location! I was helped by Ania at the register and she was so unbelievably kind, patient and thorough. She was courteous and considerate with every person that walked through the door, which at one point I saw an entire teenage sports team walk in while our order was being made!

The team didn't even bat an eye or show an ounce of stress from being busy. Bree was incredible with her multitasking, speed and efficiency all while teaming up with Isaiah for the perfect handoff and final interaction. Love love LOVED my experience here! This last visit we ordered Blimey Limey and Mocha Madness and we had zero regrets. I also adore Sunrise Sunset and its usually my main go-to smoothie, but I was feeling a bit rebellious today and craving that chocolate! What can I say? I enjoy living dangerously.
