The Raleigh Tavern Bakery is more of a food court than an actual bakery. The cookies are tasty but are prepackaged rather than fresh baked. They also have be beverages and coffee for sale. The building is colonial in appearance and is a replica of an actual building that would have been on the site. Back in the day, you could watch the baked goods being made over the fire in the open oven. Times change, recipes change, menus change, and this is still a place to visit every time we're in CW. Personal favorite - the sweet potato muffin, now that the Shrewsbury Cake has been discontinued. Enjoy!

Great place for fantastic baked goods & drinks. Only outdoor seating on benches so be aware. It's also easy to miss so make sure you follow a Colonial Williamsburg map to find it. The small bakery is tucked away off the beaten path, but aren't most great discoveries a bit off your usual course?
