“Incredible food!! The best in Virginia! Made with a lot of love. Owners are super kind and deserve every great compliment. Their employees are trained very well and also extremely polite and well mannered. If you have not tried thier subs yet I highly recommend turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, red onion. S&P, vinegrette that's homemade, pepperchinnies and a touch of mayo. The best sandwich you'll ever have. 50+ ************************ I'll definitely be back!! Been back since my first visit and have not stopped:) coming. So try it out and I guarantee you will be so satisfied.”

“this is a hidden treasure I have only eaten there twice yesterday Veterans Day was my second time I took my best friend since 7th grade out for her 63rd birthday and then we spent time up and Fancy Gap we had a wonderful lunch there talked laughed cut up enjoyed our time together there was a man sitting over the side of us and I would like to thank him so much for buying the Apple Dumpling for us he was a very nice man we talked about what he was eating and that's what he was eating he said they were to die for he left and then when we got finished the waitress brought us an apple dumpling with vanilla ice cream on top it was truly amazing so again thank you to the nice gentleman whoever you are I hope you see this and I hope they tell you cuz he said that you came in you said that they can't you came in a lot and I highly recommend this place I give it a 10 star”

“We came last night to watch Zephyr Union play live and decided to sit at the bar to grab drinks and a bite to eat. The food was great—I definitely recommend the blackened chicken wrap and the pretzels with beer cheese. The service was excellent! I only got the name of our primary bartender, Tasha, and she was super friendly, attentive, and professional. The other bar staff we encountered were awesome too. I also noticed the restrooms were incredibly clean (which I certainly appreciated). It was my first time at The Mason Jar and I can’t wait to come back. Thank you for a fun Saturday night with great food, drinks, and atmosphere!”

“most amazing place on the planet my 18-wheeler broke down on the highway yesterday ended up at Motel 6 called to see if they delivered but they didn't but the nice lady told me to hang on and I think she put her husband on the phone I think his name is Mark and he offered to bring me the most amazing barbecued beef sandwich I had ever eaten I wish there were more people like this in this world it would be a better place”

“My husband and I are on a venture to try all the little places in our the area! We actually stumbled upon B &P while out riding around after Hurricane Helene. The Food is made to order which means everything was fresh! We ordered a few burgers and sides. Definitely recommend the Tater Wedges, those alone, were worth the trip! The prices are very reasonable also! The only complaint I would have was that the parking was a little uncontrolled.

“Enjoyed a strawberry-banana and butterscotch milkshake from this location. The flavour and size were great! Price for a large is $6.00 + taxes. A regular milkshake is $5.00+taxes. Service was very quick.”

“The Hillsville Diner is a town treasure and has been a much loved eating establishment for several decades. I got a bacon cheeseburger and French fries this trip. The hand-patted burger was cooked just right and was juicy and flavorful. The generous serving of golden French fries were delicious. The atmosphere is friendly and casual. They have many plate lunch options with a variety of sides along with sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs. They have phenomenal country breakfast until 10, too.”

“A convenient place in Pipers Gap road. They offer most convenience store items and made to order food reasonably priced. This is the only store around this area for quite a while so if you need a drink or some food or the various other things this is your last chance for many miles heading towards Lambsburg MTN.”

“I tried GX Market for the first time today and it was one of the best Vietnamese food places I had ever been to. I ordered the Pork Noodles, Pad Thai, Red Curry, and Egg Rolls. I actually ordered the Pork Noodles earlier in the day and went back because it was so delicious! The egg rolls are the best I have ever had. I am definitely going to be a regular of this hidden gem in Galax.”

“I didn't go to Subway, I just stopped to get gas,and went in the store,so as far as the store goes it was clean workers seemed to be friendly and competent,it was busy but things seemed to just float right along. Oh, and the gas prices weren't too bad either”

“First time, and we had the place to ourselves, but there were lots of orders being called. We wanted to dine in for a change. Prices were very reasonable, had egg drop soup, egg rolls, triple delight for Danny & shrimp kew for me. Everything was great & we will definitely be going back!”

“Very good food! I love LJS! It's a very underrated restaurant. We don't have but this one anywhere in our area. I have no idea where the next closest is.
It is very expensive these days. It wasn't ever super cheap, but it is most definitely priced high for paper plate kind of restaurant that is self-serve. The fact it's the only one in our area, I would think the owner of it would try to keep it looking more up to date and clean. Outside was little run down, and the door on condiment cabinet was literally hanging by 1 hinge and standing open.
The employees weren't very friendly. They were very attentive to the order screen but not so much the customer. Had to wait for someone to eventually speak to us and finally take our order.”

“Never fails to satisfy! I live in Mount Airy, NC but when I’m in the mood for this place I do not hesitate to drive here one bit. I LOVE this place. I have came here over the years with friends/ family and by myself at times too. The food is amazing. The atmosphere especially in the summer months are fantastic most of the times the doors are opened to the street side and it’s just something about small town Galax that is just a great atmosphere to be in. Some times there are car shows downtown and you get to see them go by and hear and see the sights and sounds of that as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Galax Smokehouse if you are in the area. Nice staff over the years. I do appreciate you all serving the community over the years. You guys do an awesome job!”
