“Authentic Korean food with a warm, family-like atmosphere! Even with only three people on staff, the owner and waiter still stepped out to help grill our food. This was incredibly helpful since we were a group of 9, including 5 kids. While they ran out of brisket and rice near the end of our meal, it was completely understandable given how busy they were on a Sunday. Price is very reasonable compare to other Korean BBQ places I went to in the Hampton area. Definitely recommend.“

“We would rate our experience at Choice Korean Food a 4/5. The lunch special was reasonably priced and satisfying, though not particularly memorable, and the side portions were on the smaller side. We enjoyed the beef bulgogi and spicy garlic wings, with the japchae being our favorite side. We appreciated that the wings were saucy and actually spicy. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant offers ample seating, fun decor, K-pop and food videos, and even a ramen station. It was also nice to be able to order via QR code or at a kiosk for efficiency.“

“Let's just say this Korean Fried Chicken is so good! Not greasy, and it is fried fresh and hot as you order. Many choices of sauce flavors. My favorite is their Honey Garlic. Pricing is very reasonable. Service was outstanding! Very polite and very helpful.“

“I am visiting Newport News from Florida. This was my and my friends first time at Sorabol. We were greeted and seated right away. The food was excellent. We ordered fried Mandu, Spicy Chicken Stir Fry, and Yookgae Jang, I asked for the soup to be extra spicy and it was on point too. Our server, unfortunately I did not get her name, is a friendly Korean lady. She made sure we had plenty of drinks and kimchi and other pickled side dishes. She also recommended a Soju wine called Chum Churum Peach which was sweet amd delicious.
When our server brought our food to us, she also brought me an apron to wear while I ate the Yookgae Jang, which I'm thankful for because at the end of the meal, there were small drops of the soup on the apron lol
To go, I ordered Spicy Chicken Stir Fry to eat for dinner the next day and Bibimbap for my sister.
I would love to dine here one more time before I travel back to Florida because I don't know when I'll ever be back in Newport News again. I highly recommend Sorabol to all the locals and to anyone visiting Newport News.“
