“Fantastic tacos! The staff is very friendly and helped us with what to do in the area! Not the cheapest around but totally worth the price. Two super stuffed tacos come per order. Try the house made chorizo - it is not very spicy but there are a variety of hot sauces to spice it up! The star was the garlic fries - crispy fresh made fries with an amazing garlic sauce!!!!“
“I had a birthday party for my lovely wife for her 5oth and everyone at El Gato were so gracious. From the organizer of the party Amy, to the GM Courtney to the owner Tree. The bartender's Emily and Melissa were awesome as always, to all the waitstaff and cooks. The food was great and there was a huge spread. Thank you very “
“I’ve only had authentic Mexican food a handful of times, but can say that based on those experiences Casa Real is on target! Great flavor, not too spicy or salty, and enormous portion sizes. We had to wait about 30 mins for a table at 6pm on a Saturday, but the service from the minute we sat down until we left was spectacular. Highly recommend!“
“Someone said best carnitas this side of the Mississippi and I think they might be right. Was not expecting tacos to be that good. Plus it was a vibe.Got the chorizo, carnitas, and bean tostada. All very solid. I haven't had a ton of Mexican food in Vermont but this exceeded my expectations.“
“Enjoy a historical landmark (classic dinning car). If you like classic diner car atmosphere you'll love the atmosphere here.Carnitas and Barbacoa tacos were delicious. Also enjoyed fresh made guacamole with fresh warm tortillas chips.Small waiting area, short wait at our table, friendly service and served quickly once we placed our order.Parking: We walked about two blocks to find parking“
“This place has a fantastic fusion of my ethnic foods, including Asian, Indian, Vietnamese, and Mexican. Amazingly, it is all good. I've tried different dishes on each visit. The place is not very busy, and I hope people will start eating here do it doesn't go out of business!!“
“So glad I tried something new and got the Thai chicken burrito! It is absolutely amazing and big portions. HIGHLY recommend! The restaurant is super cute. Busy at lunch time - definitely order ahead if you're on a tight schedule :)Parking: Parking lot is just super busy and feels a bit cramped.“
“Excellent experience—awesome outdoor seating area with a comfortable eclectic atmosphere inside! Friendly and attentive waiters/bartenders who were personable and welcoming.Don’t miss out on the beignets!! They are incredible. The country fried chicken meal with eggs, biscuit, potatoes & house-made sauce on top was delicious! 10/10 recommend!“
“This is a bare bones little shop. The food is made fresh, mostly, and the folks were pretty quick for us. Quesadilla is very cheesy, the rice is seasoned well, and the chips are thick and crunchy.Better than most of the Mexican food options around the area.“
“Firebird Cafe is awesome. I’ve been here a handful of times and it’s always delicious and the vibe is great. We were there yesterday morning before the solar Eclipse. The town was crazy with so many people traveling through and the restaurant was very busy. It was clear that everyone was hustling and working hard to get customers their orders. The staff still took the time to be kind and chit chat with us for a moment despite how busy they were.Unfortunately, they had to deal with a severly verbally abusive customer from NY that was screaming at the entire staff that his order was put on the wrong table for a brief moment. It was quite frightening, and the staff handled it with patience. It was clear that the young child he was with was extremely distraught and upset, and other people waiting in line were concerned for her welfare as well. Had we been thinking faster, we would have called the police. It was clear they were doing their best to serve the massive line of tourists that flooded the town this past weekend. I would definitely recommend them as they are professional, friendly, and always have great food!“
