We were attended to by a woman whose youthful tattoos and casual tone stood in stark contrast to her perfect efficiency and utter competence. Her performance reminded me of the way touring dance professionals make impossible feats look effortless. The cocktails were interesting and satisfying; the food was just as good. We had salmon croquettes, seared tuna, and a memorable salad with fried chickpeas and spicy peanut sauce (so good!).
This probably goes without saying, but the bar was loud and crowded. We thought it a reasonable trade, given the 45 minute wait that it allowed us to completely bypass.“
