“I had the pleasure of dining at The Left Bank for my birthday, and without question, it was the best meal I’ve had in decades. Since moving to Vermont, we’ve struggled to find restaurants that meet our standards — most places have been disappointingly mediocre and overpriced, leaving us to cook at home more often than not. As self-proclaimed food snobs, we had nearly given up on dining out entirely.

Then came The Left Bank.

From the moment we sat down, every bite was exceptional — from the warm roll served at the start, to the vibrant beet salad, to what was quite possibly the most delicious chicken I’ve ever tasted. It was perfectly seared, expertly seasoned, juicy, and served with a crisp, golden skin that was nothing short of perfection. I still can’t stop thinking about it.

The cocktails and desserts were equally outstanding — and with the news that they’re opening a bakery across the street soon, we are already counting the days.

This level of quality, care, and execution is what you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. In fact, The Left Bank absolutely deserves that level of recognition.

Our dinner for two, which included four cocktails, two salads, two entrées, and two desserts, came to $300 with tip. Pricey? Perhaps — but in this case, it was worth every penny. You truly get what you pay for, and we’ll happily return again and again.

The Left Bank delivers what so many places promise but rarely achieve — a truly unforgettable dining experience. Bravo.”

“Stopped by after spending 2 nights at nearby camp. The line was long but the conversations made it fun to wait. Pretty good Iced Chai for hubby & my Iced Maple Latte was delicious and I don’t even like cold coffee! Pleasant service.”

“My wife and I visited Manchester today and we had a wonderful lunch at Zoey’s! My wife had a turkey dinner and I had the double hex burger with caramelized onions. “I never expected great barbecue in the middle of the Green Mountains. The brisket was superb and I have had brisket from Franklin’s in Austin, TX. I prefer Pearl’s. They have a large selection of bourbons and they make a great Old Fashioned. Our server Betty was wonderful and she made a great presentation of the Bacon Clothesline. We will probably make the 3-1/2 hour trip just for the brisket.”

“Have been very happy with the coffee on each visit. The food selection has kept growing, all great stuff. The newest addition is above and beyond! The pizza is fantastic and is quick. The crust is fantastic and the quality of the cheese and other toppings is incredible.”

“The BLT hosted our high school Mountain Bike team banquet last night and they could not have been more accommodating or thoughtful. Worked with our craziness and made us feel super welcome and at home. Food was great, service was even better, and our whole crew of about 25 had a wonderful time. I heart the BLT!!!”

“Mistral's is the restaurant that my wife and I visit to treat ourselves to something rare and very special. It's tucked away off the main highway, on the side of a mountain, and built to follow the curve of the streamlet dancing alongside it. It just feels so special to walk in. We are always seated at a window looking across to the forest and down to the brook. It's magical, beautiful, artistic and so romantic. The wine list is perfectly selected to provide a carefree point of departure from ordinary life. The appetizers, the entrees, the deserts are always well prepared, pleasantly unassuming, thoughtfully presented, and a pleasure to enjoy. It's all just so lovely and comes complete with a staff that serves with dignity, competence and warmth. It's unlike any place else in an exceptionally good way. It's a treasure that we return to again and again.”

They had some fun seasonal drinks- but I opted for my go-to skinny margarita and it came in a fun cactus glass. I’m a sucker for the little things.

The table shared a quesadilla, which was nicely stuffed with chicken. That alone means this place gets a thumbs up. 😆

We were seated outside - even though usually that’s reserved for folks eating a full dinner. I’m grateful they were willing to be accommodating. The staff was friendly, and from my seat, I had a nice slice of a view of the mountain - which made my heart happy.

This place is feeling like a solid option for pub basics and I was excited to see some specials for Monday / Tuesdays that I will definitely check out. 🤪”

“It's one of the most convenient and cost effective restaurant at Stratton. You can almost always get a seat without a reservation. The food can use a little more seasoning but the portions are on the bigger side. Menu is a little limited. The bar has a better selection with some funky cocktails. Fireplace, high ceilings and big windows make for great ambiance.”
