“We went here out of the blue, first location and outside area both beautiful. Inside a bit different than what you would expect, the venue area is perfect for any occasion seriously!! The bar area a bit small, has game table room that you can close off, bathroom clean, service was on point. Food needs seasoning, but was good. “In had a great visit. Many reviews seem to focus on the food. I tend to pay more attention to the ambiance. Nelly’s is the best neighborhood bar I’ve been to. Lots of patrons. Many seem to know each other, leading to lively banter at the bar.I had so much fun soaking it all in, I stayed for an extra Bud!Ordered a cheeseburger and fries. It was generous in size and tasted great.Highly recommended!Parking: This is an urban location, so parking can be challenging. On street parking is 2 hours, but I think it’s free after hours. In the early evening when I went, there was plenty of parking.“

“So you order food separate so that’s a pain but I was in there Saturday afternoon with two old buddies I haven’t seen in a few years.Great place for a brew after a game or event or whatever and chill.Our bar tender was kind and knowledgeable and personable and rolled with the punches sort of speak.The three of us had what I would call a deeper conversation and people joined in respectfully.We were there for three hours and had a great time kicking back talking and having a few drinks.“
