“After a very long day of filming time for a special treat. The service, food, ambience and vibe was exactly what we were looking for and sure enough the Guild Tavern excelled in every area. Thank you to our server Charlotte who was amazing to the entire team here. Each dish carefully and well executed in presentation and taste. The energy level this team has is like watching a well-orchestrated master piece. Each team member knew the thoughts of the others, the smiles always on their faces soon as you walk in and while you are here to the delivery of drinks and food and closing out the evening. Always helping each other with no complaints nor competitive angles or agendas just pure team work. This is a place we would love to have in our upcoming documentary. “My Fiancé and I had our first experience at Hen of the Wood in Burlington, what an incredible time we had! We just got engaged and had to celebrate. I decided to get the pork loin, and it was delicious! My fiancé loved his steak. It was perfection. Our waitress was amazing and so thoughtful. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. the atmosphere was casual yet somewhat formal and we had a blast! Can't forget about how scrumptious those rolls were too! That's always the best indicator of a good place to eat!
This place is family owned ( 3rd generation) and operated, small but serves up delicious food!
They even have accolades posted from the local newspapers.
You may have a little bit of a wait to be seated but the wait is well worth it.
I had sausage gravy and a biscuit with home fries and coffee, it was very tasty!
I have traveled all over and not everyone can make good sausage gravy, and the home fries were a nice addition. The coffee was hot and tasted like old fashioned diner coffee( my favorite).
My server Maddie was very sweet and fast! This place was packed and she was constantly moving, but not too busy for a kind word and a smile.
I definitely recommend giving this place a try for Breakfast or Lunch!“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sneakers Bistro, and what a fantastic experience it was! I'd heard good things, but the reality surpassed my expectations. Arriving for brunch, I was seated remarkably quickly, a testament to their efficient and friendly service. The menu itself was impressive, offering such a diverse range of options that I struggled to pick just one. I ultimately settled on the California Eggs Benedict, and it was simply incredible. Every element, from the perfectly poached eggs to the fresh avocado and hollandaise, tasted like it was crafted with top-quality ingredients.

Beyond the delicious food, the atmosphere was genuinely welcoming, buzzing with a moderate level of happy chatter. I even spotted the quirky leg lamp, which added a fun touch! The coffee was excellent, and the service was consistently attentive without being overbearing – my water glass was always full. While I didn't encounter any issues, I noted their commitment to customer satisfaction even when facing minor challenges, which speaks volumes. The prices felt incredibly fair for the quality and portion sizes. Sneakers Bistro truly delivers on all fronts, and I'm already planning my next visit to explore more of their delightful menu. “I cannot say enough good things about Bevo. I never once had to worry about a thing. Kathleen and her staff thought of everything. From our first meeting, we knew we were in good hands. Kathleen was so helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process and offered tons of ideas for things we hadn't even thought of. We were able to create our own menu (build your own tacos as well as a mac and cheese bar) and Kathleen offered excellent suggestions of things to go with it. You name it, and Bevo can do it. Leading up the the wedding, Kathleen was great about checking in and seeing if we needed help with anything. The day of the wedding was wonderful. The entire Bevo staff was kind, attentive and incredibly professional. The chefs out-did themselves, we are still getting compliments from our guests about the delicious food and the abundance of it. Throughout the evening, the staff would bring my wife and I water, reminding us to stay hydrated. They were all so sweet and everything went so smoothly. At the end of the evening, they provided us with two large bags full of food for us to take home, which was a real life saver the next few days with all our family in town. Between the delicious food, and the wonderful staff, we will be recommending Bevo to everyone we see. They are without a doubt the best catering company!“

“Super-fun experience at the culinary experience at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. Our instructor, Denise, led us through the recipes and techniques to create a wonderful Vermont dinner that included roasted root vegetables, braised chicken (in dark beer and demi-glacé) with shallots and a variety of mushrooms, and a lovely kale salad. We were given the opportunity to decorate autumn themed sugar cookies as well as dip tiny apples into a luscious caramel coating. A small group of 9 students made the experience very intimate. Our meal was served with wine and fresh bread accompanied by an herbed compound butter. Denise was a perfect instructor and I would recommend the experience to anyone who loves to cook.“

“Nice cozy little place. Great selection of Vermont brewed beers. Burger i had was excellent. Cooked perfectly. It's a small place but they max out the number of tables in there. It may get busy on the weekends as I was there on a Wednesday night. If I'm in the area again I'll definitely be back“
