“This place is a small shop with an outdoor eating area in front. The service was perfect and while quality was not bad, the quantity of food for the price was not ideal. I liked the salmon poke bowl I ordered but I think an additional spicy sauce option might be a nice addition. Overall, a place I would go back to but not flawless.“

“This place is amazing! The portions are big, especially for the price, and come with unlimited toppings. Both the poke and the toppings are delicious. The workers are all very sweet, which makes ordering a breeze. It has been take-out only for at least the past six months, which is a little bit of a shame, but it’s the only issue I’ve ever had with this place.“

“Just a great South Seattle place, that I go to when I’m in the neighborhood where some of my family live. While waiting for take out (I especially love the coconut shrimp) I appreciate the delicious cooking smells and the decorations and remember our trips to Hawaii.“

“Brunch out on the Fourth of July before heading into the day. If we hadn’t been brought here by locals or word of mouth, we never would have found this hidden gem. One family, two shops: Kauai Family Restaurant and Cakes of Paradise (sells coffee and delicious desserts - smashed macaroon was a hit).

One Big Loco Moco and Kalua Pork were “shared” with the Loco Moco winning out; both the gravy and egg yoke meandering through the rice made it a “one more bite and then you can have it” dish. The best kind.

Chill atmosphere, backing tunes present but not overwhelming, friendly staff, and excellent food. What’s not to like?“

“Masubi Kai serves some seriously delicious food. The poke bowls are excellent—the Rainbow Bowl was incredibly fresh, and every ingredient worked perfectly together. The musubi selection is just as impressive, with all kinds of combinations featuring meats, Spam, egg, avocado, and more. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well made. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.“

“The food is very good And they give you very good service but they are doing something very wrong with the employees. I have friends who work there and say that the tips left by customers are not given to the workers. If customers leave tips, they would have to make sure where the money they make with that money goes. They would have to talk to industrial labor so that they report that they do not want to give them that money. some do not speak for fear of losing their job but it is not fair what they do in that place with the workers“

“The owners are truly kind, grateful people. The food is fresh- I had a Poke bowl with Salmon and avocado, and it was FULL of good flavor. My kids were crazy about the BBQ Chicken- awesome portions and fantastic sweet/smoky flavor! My wife tried the Yakisoba, and loved all the vegetables. Very solid value for the buck- this is a great place to check out. Glad we made the drive from Woodinville!“

I ordered the combo of teriyaki chicken and kalua pig. The amount is very large; not only rice but also chicken and pork.
Teriyaki is much sweeter than Japanese, but tasty. I'd like more vegetable if possible.“

The person working was SO wonderfully accommodating with some food allergies and also was super kind to give enough food for both me and my partner to eat. “The mac salad is my favorite! Best Hawaiian food in Washington. Their Hawaiian beef is my go to, and the combo with the Huli huli chicken is a phenomenal deal. Don’t forget to get their sauces! Their sambal is amazing and the teriyaki is delicious as well.“

“The pike place bowl did it for me and then some!! I had half of my bowl in the restaurant where I got to people watch, then picked up up target ordered upstairs and finished the rest of my bowl on a bench in the park just north of the plaza. I have absolutely no complaints about the bowl. If the service was a little better I would've rated this bowl a 5.“

“This was my first tome ever having poke so I needed a lot of help with the menu throughout the process.

After waiting for the 1 person working to finish cleaning duties (you are supposed to stop immediately, wash up and help the customer), he finally came over after about 4 minutes. He did not even acknowledge us until he came over although it was obvious we were there

He then just assumed I new everything I wanted and was slightly annoyed that I didnt. After helping me with the first choice, another woman came out to finish helping me and she was definitely annoyed with all of my questions. Wow. The reason you have a job is because you have customers. No customers, no business, no job.

I then asked for water and was pointed to the large water jug...which when I got to it did not have any cups, so I had to wait for them to finish with a customer who was also new and taking a really long time to ask for a cup. He said they were supposed to be out there. Maybe he should have been refilling things customers needed than the deep cleaning he seemed to be doing upon arrival

My food was just ok. Definitely not worth going through that so I wont return

Businesses need to realize with high food prices, we will be more selective with where we go and I am not giving my business to this type which lacks customer care
