“It is always a challenge for me to eat Asian food of any type, as I cannot eat any soy sauce. We went to this restaurant on Wednesday evening and back again on Friday for lunch. To say they worked with us on my allergy would be an understatement. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had amazing food and a wonderful experience! Tye (sp) took care of us on the first visit. You would be hard pressed to find a better server. Each recommendation given turned out to be wonderful. I just cannot say enough good things about this place. Please go check them out! You will not be disappointed.“

“Foodies, this is a must try if you are ever in the area. Most sushi houses have a hard time getting Uni, but we had 4 dishes with fresh Uni in it. You won't regret it.“

“I ordered the katsu bento, and the tonkatsu sauce was missing from the box. Since the sauce is a key part of the dish, the meal didn’t taste the way it should. The yaki niku fries were the best part—they were seasoned well and actually enjoyable.

When a dish is missing an expected component, especially a signature sauce, customers rate the meal as less satisfying and less worth the price. That’s exactly how this order felt.

I might come back for the fries, but I wouldn’t order the katsu bento again unless the sauce is included.“

“The food was amazing and the atmosphere was incredible, I really wanted to point out how amazing our server was Jesslyn! She was incredible and gave such good recommendations for us for our first time coming to the restaurant. She definitely went above and beyond to make sure our experience was a memorable one. I would definitely go back to this location again not only for the great food but also for just her service alone. Anyone lucky enough to have her as your server will have a great experience all in all.“

“This place is great if you know what to get. I usually come with a small group and we order to share

- some of the cheap rolls, which are not exceptional but ARE great value for cost and complement the following really well
- tteokbokki (the spicy Korean rice cakes), optionally with ramen noodles
- the pork belly with kimchi
- fried chicken

Of these the pork belly with kimchi is the most unique – I don't know of anywhere else in Seattle that does the particular chunky, crispy cuts that Ku does, and the kimchi is a great pairing. Everyone in my group who likes pork belly loves this one.

tldr: yes, the menu is hit and miss, but if you take figure out your favorites, it's a great place to get a varied meal.“
