There is a place to dine but it's not a good environment to sit and really enjoy a good meal. I would rate the service & atmosphere higher with improvements - please stop using styrofoam food containers, use biodegradable plastics/straws, and clean the tables regularly.“

“This is the ONLY Chinese restaurant in town who truly knows what Chinese food is suppose to taste like. They make a great Hot and sour soup, their pot stickers are excellent, the sweet and sour chicken is abundant and the shrimp with pea pods delicious. The restaurant itself is not very inviting, hence most people place their orders to go but it is very worth the effort.“

“I’ve been a long-distance fan of Owen Roe wines for several years. Their Sinister Hand red blend has been a long-time favorite. I recently experienced a shipping mix-up with an order and David O’Reilly, the winemaker, was very understanding and generous in contacting me and quickly resolving the issue. I will continue to be a fan of Owen Roe wines and look forward to visiting the winery in person when visiting family in Washington.“

“My wife and I had dinner here. We shared an appetizer, which was the pita and hummus. It was delicious. I’d advise getting extra pita as the hummus bowl was big. I had the gyro platter, which is basically a gyro without a pita. It was very good! My wife ordered a bowl with a kabob. She was a little disappointed that it only came with one kabob. All the ingredients were very fresh.

“We / my husband and I were there from Rocklin, California at a reunion.. we got there very late. Most of the food was gone. It looked delicious.. however, we didn’t get to enjoy it!! That of course our fault! … but I happen to be very hungry… two of your waiters (gentlemen) asked me if there was something they could get for me! Of course I said, yes!! I asked for Iced Tea .. brought to me immediately and then the second gentleman asked if he could get something for me .. he brought me a small loaf of that delicious bread nicely warm and butter!! It was delicious!! I would like to commend those two gentlemen!! Your restaurant is phenomenal as well as elegant!!! Thank you!! “My first visit was an incredible trip from Oregon through this region. I loved finding a lunch box with such delicious tacos and quesabirria. It is totally recommended. “Have never had a bad meal here. The servings are large even at lunch time. The service is great and the people are warm and friendly. The prices are the same as every other restaurant in the area. We drive over the mountain passes for a day drive so we can eat at El Porton's, takes us 2 1/2 hours. We make at least three trips a year and would be more if it wasn't for the winter weather. Can't wait for the next trip for lunch.

This was the first time we’ve been back after they closed their buffet for awhile. No rice pudding, which was always a staple with the mango and empty hot food bins, sauce but no meat. They’ve also moved the buffet right in the way to walk into the restaurant, so when there is a line, you can’t get around for the restroom or you have to wait for people to move when you are being seated. I dunno, not a top 10 day there today in my book, however, we’ll still go. I appreciate that they finally reupholstered their booths.“
