“Hubby has been wanting to try this place for months, he’s a pizza fan. We finally called in an order tonight and the woman on the phone was very friendly to take our order. Great customer service! We were impressed by the fresh ingredients, great quality of food, full of flavor, and sauces tasted like they’re made in house. Cheesy garlic bread sticks were bomb.com! So much flavor and the right amount of cheese. Huge serving of them! Marinara sauce was way better than most pizza joints. Buffalo sauce which we normally don’t like (ordered on the side for wings), was amazing and didn’t have that Tabasco vinegar spicy taste most buffalo sauces or wing sauce contains. I’m glad we got it on the side to try anyways! The cinnamon twists come in a huge order for 16in, I wasn’t expecting so much and wished we got the smaller order but they were delicious. Light and fluffy and right amount of cinnamon and sugar. My hubby is going to take their advice and try it in his coffee in the morning. And the winning dish- the Pizza! Since hubby is a pizza fan he wanted to start with a basic pepperoni with extra cheese and get a feel for it. His jaw dropped when he saw how big the slices were and instantly fell in love with this place! lol The first thing I noticed was how fresh the pizza crust looked and it’s artisan style, was even better when I tried it. The extra cheese covered over great quality pepperonis with the pizza sauce and fresh crust, it was AMAZING! He said no more Seabeck pizza after having Allyn pizza. Thank you for making your food with love and fresh ingredients, it shows in the quality and taste of the food! We will be coming back for more!”

“Delightful experience. Fresh food with wonderful above average special flavors in the recipes. The music was nice, the staff were just right on the table visits, not too much, but stopped by enough to check if we were good. I was happy to meet a fellow business owner and operator working in there as well. My girlfriend posted even more details, a video, and pictures in Mason County Rants and Raves pages. “My husband and I decided to try Haru's out after I read some reviews. The review's were right on! The food was terrific, I had the chicken teriyaki with egg roll. My husband had chicken teriyaki with fried rice. We decided after trying his we decided to order a fried rice to go. We do not regret. It was delicious!”

“Recently moved here from TX and was shocked how legit these tacos are for a region that doesn't have a whole lot of Mexican food. The pork and carne asada are very tasty and these guys give generous amounts of meat on their dishes. I always get tacos but sometimes will get a burrito or birria tacos. Can't recommend this spot enough. Go here!!!”

It did seem like it was the owners running the kitchen, phone, pick up orders, bussing tables .. and honestly it seems odd to not let someone work and help out. (There was one clean booth, and then the line of tables folks wait at when picking up.)”

“Hidden gem lunch spot in Gig Harbor!! I stopped at this “secret” little place today randomly when I was out running errands and got a delicious meal for $15! It’s tucked away in a park across from a baseball field so you wouldn’t think much of it but my meal was quick, cheap, and delicious. I was the only person there and I got the Bacon Jack Jalapeño Burger with a side of fries, their Shack Sauce, and a cold Dr. Pepper for $15. It took less than 10 minutes, they brought it to my table, and it was all fresh and hot. Highly recommend this place and will be going back to try their other food. **They are only open til 4 p.m. during the winter”

“Fantastic food - their raspberry rugalach (scone-like but better) and sausage piroski (pastry with meat and potatoes) was mouth watering good. Just a short hop off the main road. Regretted not getting a cinnamon roll to have later in the day. Don't miss this quick stop for a tasty treat!”

“When going to Belfair, I always make a stop at this stand. They make the best milkshakes on the peninsula. (With or without expresso shots) Unfortunately I was slightly dismayed today (07/24). I understand the environment inside these stands is overly warm; often requiring the barista's wear loose clothing. Todays stop started well; young lady was dressed w/ appropriate blouse and cut off jeans. But it wasn't until she was handing drink's to the customer on the opposite window; that those cutoff jeans were shorter than initially believed. After receiving and paying for my order; I said; by the way you have an exceptional set of buttcheeks. Her response portrayed that I was an old perv. I then commented your shorts are too short; and departed. Bottom Line: I'm a grandfather of two beautiful girls; and if they think for a minute they can show flesh like that; I would circle the wagons with mom and grandma to tune-up their understanding of appropriate dress codes.”

“I prefer the "take 'n bake" over regular pizza. We don't have any pizza delivery in our area so we have to pick it up ourselves when we go to town. It's always nicer to have hot, out of the oven pizza rather than 30 minute old pizza, no matter how well insulated a bag is.”

“I love their food. My husband and I moved to the area in 2016. We kept driving by the place, but we were a bit leary. it looked like a rough place. But when we finally gave it a try, we were hooked. We'll come here twice a week sometimes. I haven't had a bad plate or service yet. I love their Shroom burger, Ruben, Chuck Wagon with french fries or tots (I use to hate Tots as a kid), Crispy Chick Salad for dinner or lunch. I am a French fries and Tots snob now. LoL. Sunday's I have to have my pancakes...I LOVE THEIR PANCAKES!!! 😄😆 To sum up, I would definately recommend this place! 1000% LOL”

“Traveled from Florida to visit my daughter. We went to Close to Home Espresso for a coffee, and it was the BEST coffee ever! Not to mention the lady working was absolutely the happiest person I have ever met at a coffee shop. Went back on day two and had the exact same experience only with a different worker. She was so happy! So, I was leaving at 0530 the next day, it was so good that I went in the afternoon to get a coffee to warm up the next day! Their coffee is so good that it is good warmed up the next morning! Wish I could get that coffee at home in Florida! Thank you for adding to the fun of my visit!”
