“Cool little dive-ish kinda place. I live in Ariel, so this is my go to place for food and booze :-) They have bar, booth and patio seating. The chicken fried steak is the best I have ever had. Great onion rings and home made ranch dressing.“

“We love Barrel Mountain Brewing beers, so it's been on our bucket list to visit the home of "No Bad Days" For a few years. We finally made it out and it was a unique experience. The decor is Grandpa's shed in the most endearing way - fishing poles, bike parts, and awards galore. The traditional wings were decent flavor and great meat but a little wet. The special flavor was Bloody Mary, and we love the drinks so we were excited, and they were disappointing. They were very soggy, with a think texture. The garlic rosemary fries were excellent! We'd absolutely cone again, the table next us had a BLT and a burger that looked and smelled amazing.“

Lone Fir Resort American • $$
16806 Lewis River Rd, Cougar - 11.89 miles

“Stayed at Lone Fir over a weekend for access to St. Helens trails. There was an issue with the water heater in our rustic hotel room the first night, and when we got back to the room the next day after hiking the staff had taken care of everything. We got back to a handwritten note, and a staff member immediately came over and connected with us to get us to our new room. Really love it at this resort, the staff really cares about the experience, can't wait to be back again!“

“It was delicious! The staff was friendly. And I'm glad we could stop by and try a couple of dishes. If you need Internet, it is paid. And so there are problems with mobile communication in the village. There were not many people. They also have a shop with various interesting products. So all in all If you're looking for a place to stop for lunch or dinner after a hard hike, this place might just give you what you need. You can also stay overnight in this place.“

“This place is a hidden gem. PNW pizza has such great food and atmosphere. A great selection and everything I have had has been amazing. Their portions are huge and I can get 2-3 meals out of them so great value as well. My latest addiction is the PNW Flatbread, anyone I have had try it gets addicted to it. Plus they really care about their community and provide so many ways to support the community. By far the best restaurant in town.Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options if needed“
