“We lived, year around, 17 + years in Southern Arizona and know the great quality Mexican restaurant cuisine very well, especially from the best in the city of South Tucson. In Whatcom County, I added the New Mexico Tamale Company as the very best place to buy tamales when you don’t have the time nor skills to make your own. It’s. est to pre-order, about 2 weeks ahead, for your order to be filled. Suggestion: When placing your order, request them to add more Santa Fe mild chile puree to the selected meat or chicken product or they might be on the dry side when re-heated (steamed). Excellent service. Good quality. Their tamales are well balanced between the filling and the masa. The secret to evaluating good tamales from bad ones is whether the company mixes an adequate amount of red chile puree to the masa when mixing, to enhance the full flavor profile. The New Mexico Tamale Company does it right! Theirs are very close to the way we used to make our beef tamales at home (we usually made 12 dozen every November, for the freezer. RATING: 4.9 stars out of 5.0 stars. Give them a try, you will return for more, again and again. Would they survive in South Tucson? Absolutely !“

“Such great bread. My first real introduction to GHB. I was a regular for while I was doing a contract job in the area. They have the best cinnamon bread and jalapeño cheddar bread excellent! I have tried many GHB since, they are all good but none of them have made their Cinnamon bread quite as good hasBellinghams. I don’t know the secret. Please the husband owners are so nice and everyone is so friendly.“

“This was our first time here, and we're both mad as to not trying it out earlier!!! Food, service, fantastic friendly manager, atmosphere...all amazing! We were seated right away, never felt ignored, and had a window seat with a view of the harbor. Highly recommend - we WILL be back! I had the fish and chips - so so good! The fish batter was so crispy!! And the steak fries were great and crisp! My husband got the Big Bad Boy burger (3 patties)...he's a burger guy for sure...he was super impressed!!“

“Celebrated our 6 year anniversary with some Fiamma Pizza and it did not disappoint. The food was incredible, but the reason for this review is because the staff deserves all the praise! Lily was so so great! Friendly, attentive, and kind. I appreciate her helping us celebrate!“

“Amazing food. I had never had food from El Salvador and wow was I impressed!!! So delicious…it is now a staple in my week and I stop and get at least 1 “steak wonder burrito w/ extra sour cream” twice a week! See you soon!
Oh and the price! I can’t find any good food that fills you up for under 10$ but you guys pull it off! Just wow
Vegetarian options: They have options and you can make any meat dish a veggie one.
Dietary restrictions: They can make it anyway you need!
Parking: It’s a bus in a lot. So it is very easy access.
Kid-friendliness: They are wonderful and so nice and sweet.“

“The Empty Bowls benefit was a huge success, thanks to the wonderful restaurants and bakeries who donated soup and bread. African Peanut soup and the Split Pea soup were crowd pleasers! Everyone enjoyed live music, picking out a local artist hand-made/thrown bowl, and eating delicious soup and bread. Thank you Colophon for supporting the essential work of @bellinghamfoodbank and @opportunity_council project Maple Alley Inn to fight hunger in our community.“

“This place is lowkey a silent sleeper because I feel like more people should know about how awesome Greene's is! Breakfast, lunch, dinner; they're all an option! Great pizza and delicious breakfast/brunch options! Love that they're in the part of town that's nestled right between south/central Bellingham (aka the Sunnyland Neighborhood), and everything on their menu is a hit. Menu Faves: Biscuts & Gravy, Breakfast Burrito, Sunnyland Scramble, Chicken & Waffles, Huevos Rancheros“

“This is a clean, comfortable coffee shop right in downtown Bellingham conveniently located at the corner of Railroad and Chestnut. They offer all the typical coffees as well as pastries and sandwiches. The food is already prepared and reheated
(good but not great)
and the coffee was prepared exactly as ordered. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and provided fast service. There is paid street parking and it could be hard to find during peak times or during the Saturday Farmers Market just down the street. I highly recommend Woods Coffee if you are downtown and want consistently good coffee. Outdoor seating is available.“

“I’ve been eating Supons consistently for over a decade. Yes, the prices have gone up. They have everywhere! But the food remains consistently fresh, affordable (comparatively), and fast. I usually order take out and pick it up within 20 minutes. I don’t branch out very much and always order the Pad Thai with tofu, Thai style, 2 stars. My partner switches between the Yellow Curry and the See Ew. We have found that if he orders his usual 5 stars, my 2 stars will be extra spicy, so we both order at 2 stars and it’s very consistent. This place just has one cook in the back, so unless there are dietary restrictions (which they’ve been great at accommodating), expect your spice levels to blend across your order as it’s all made generally together. Supons is one of the few locally owned spots that is still going strong, and I hope it will be here for many many more years!“

“My partner and I were in the area for a car meet up and asked a local where we could get a good breakfast sandwich to go and they recommended Avenue Bread. They were so right! We each had the Country Eggnue on Rosemary and it was delicious! He had an Americano and I had a London Fog, both drinks were great.
I am looking forward to visiting Fairhaven again and we know where we will stop for breakfast for sure!“

“The food was very delicious and comforting! Good fried cauliflower, house made fries, kickass pork sliders. The vibe of the inside was less cozy than I thought it would be from the street. Prices reasonable. I must say they should use more resilient buns, the meals were so juicy that they turned to mush.“

“Avenue is an iconic Whatcom County lunch/breakfast spot and they always hit just right! You genuinely can't go wrong with anything off their menu, and I love that I still feel great after eating there. Love how easy it is to customize different sandwiches to adapt to dietary needs and everything just tastes SO good. Plus, I feel they're super affordable and love that you can pickup a loaf of bread or sleeve of english muffins on your way out! Menu Faves: BLT&T, any of their Eggenue Breakfast Sandwiches, Rosemary Bread/English Muffins, Banh Mi Sandwiches.“

“The best flavor of sausage gravy ever! Just a bit of a spicy bite but not overpowering. I chose the regular biscuits and they were really good for gluten free that I would not be able to tell them apart from a non gluten one.“

“Stopped in after a long day of traveling. Looking for a pizza place I stumbled upon MOD PIZZA. I can say it was a very busy place. The facility was clean with plenty places to sit and enjoy a meal. The ordering and making of the pizza was a fast process. The pizza itself self was okay. I ate because I was hungry. Overall it was just alright. Stop in and see for yourself. Enjoy!“

“Hungry for fresh and filling gluten free Thai food? Busara is the place you are looking for. They offer a dedicated gluten free and vegetarian menu with tremendous offerings. The Pad Thai chicken was exceptional with glorious tastes and ample portions. The Thai iced tea had a lovely deep woodsy taste to it, by far one of the best I have had. Try the restaurant-made coconut and Thai tea ice cream to round out your meal with a memorable and refreshing dessert.
Superb offerings! Great service, friendly and allergy friendly knowledgeable servers. The only complaint I have would be a recommendation to update the carpeting to further enhance the warm and welcoming environment.“

“We wanted to grab a bite after our movie and it seems like everyone else in the theatre had the same idea. The service was so quick, the drinks were perfect, and the waitress was so helpful (thank you for recommending that Chicken Bruschetta pizza).
They even offered to stay open later so we could wait for our Uber.
I'm not the type to write reviews.... but this place truly deserves it. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great spot to unwind after a movie.“
