“Fidelitas is such a great little winery spot — truly a gem in the area. The service was wonderful from the moment I walked in, and the team made me feel right at home. The food was really good, the wine was even better, and the view just puts it over the top.

Kiona Vineyards and Winery Winery • $$
44612 N Sunset Rd, Benton City

“Kiona is both, a winery and a premium grape grower selling to other wineries. It is in the heart of Red Mountain and has been for 3 generations a key driving force for the establishment of this American Viticultiral Area, one of the smalest and more prestigious ones in the country.
JJ, co-owner and General Manager, was very gracious and devoted to us a long time and great explanations. He ran through the fields when he was a kid and that perspires in his conversation. He is an essential part of Kiona and Kiona is an essential part of him.
We started with a Sangiovese rose that had been recommened to me by a Portland winemaker and we walked through the vineyards while sipping such refreshing, precise and delicious wine. As JJ said, it was not a saignant, nor a blend, it was a wine with grapes grown meant to produce a rose. We continued with a delicious sage/mint/eucalyptus nuanced Chenin Blanc blended with Roussane and Viognier with some slight residual sugar. And then we went to the heavyweights, like their Lemberger (their oldest vineyard and the largest producer of this variatel in the country), Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their Red Mountain Reserve, is a Cab blended with a bit of Merlot and Petit Verdot only produced in excellent vintages. We tasted the 2022 and I detected, amongst other more typical aromas in the ripe spectrum, quince, medium+ roast oak, tobacco leaf and dark chocolate. It was brambly and concentrated, extremely deep and long, and fulfilling. As my wife would say, fireworks in your mouth.
Fantastic! Thank you, JJ.“

Anelare Winery Wineries •

“Our mid day reservation was a perfect pick me up my husband and I needed during this uniquely hard time in our lives. We were immediately seated with an excellent view that exposed parted of the hills I've always wondered about, but never saw! It was a hot day but the outdoor deck ceiling kept us very shaded. Aarika was delightful and attentive, gave us wonderful recommendations! Her idea to split up the pizza flavors allowed for us to try the cherry bacon, blueberry goat, AND the red desire. They were incredible! Paired well with our wine flights which are a must. Cannot wait to be back as soon as we get a free moment.“

“OMG!!! What a hidden GEM. A small group of us visited this past weekend for an event. They had live music. Food by Casa Rosita Taqueria (Local Benton City restaurant). They were short staffed BUT, great service by Jackie (I hope that was her name) SO AMAZINGLY FAST and FRIENDLY!! We had a wonderful time. The wine was spectacular. The place looks like a park. It is a must if you are in the area. And if you're not in the area, make a trip just to visit. The owners Thomas and Ana Marie (Sp) stopped at the table to chat and that was when we had the most fun. Thank you for your hospitality.“

Terra Blanca Winery & Estate Vineyard Wineries • $$
34715 Demoss Rd, Benton City

“Stopped here to do a wine tasting and wound up staying for lunch and then coming back for their monthly three course dinner later in the evening. The wine was some of the best we tasted in the Red Mountain area, and the food was just as spectacular. Katie who did our tasting was very knowledgeable and told us so much about both the wine and the region as well as how things are grown. She provided excellent wine recommendations and also let us compare and contrast some of the different wines which really made for a great tasting experience. If I lived in the area I would definitely come back often for both the food and the wine, but we had to settle with ordering some to be shipped home.“

Col Solare Winery Winery • $$$
50207 Antinori Road, Benton City

“Our visit to Col Solare was nothing short of world class in every aspect of the word. From the time we hit the parking lot until the time we checked out we were treated like family, nothing short of VIP service. Although our tasting was advertised to be just 3 wines we were treated to just about everything on the menu. Each wine was presented to us in nice stemware and not once did we reuse a glass. Monica was officially our server but we were also spoiled by Ian and Eddie. All three were very knowledgeable of the wine we were being served as well as the wines of Eastern Washington. We enjoyed every wine we tasted but did have a couple standouts. The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2015 Malbec and the 2016 Syrah were all standouts. Wines are priced at the luxury level but seem reasonable in comparison to comparable wines in Napa. Our visit to Col Solare was indeed memorable. I only wish we would have saved it for last because now all other wineries in Eastern Washington will be judged based on Col Solare. Is that fair? Don't care, I am on vacation and therefore I make the rules... For this visit I give Col Solare 5 stars. Woohoo! As good as it gets!“

Cooper - Red Mountain Winery •

“We enjoyed staying at the RV parking (Harvest Host). We did tasting one day. Then second day we bought a bottle of C4 (cab). The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The dog, buddy is friendly. There is a black lab too. I am not sure might be neighbor. He will walk right into RV to visit, super friendly. The area is beautiful. The Red Mountain will keep you busy for days, just saying. If in the area you need to stop in. If you have an RV this is your top pick for Harvest Host.“
