“Beer, Burgers & Open Mic Vibes

Stumbled into Headworks Brewery on a Monday night and landed smack in the middle of Open Mic which turned out to be the perfect soundtrack for sipping great beer and people-watching.

The vibe? Super chill. The bartender was friendly, the service was fast, and the beer selection did not disappoint. We especially loved the Amazillo Imperial IPA (bold and beautiful) and the Blueberry Cosmic Crisp (like a fruit snack for grown-ups).

Burger Bud’s food truck was parked right outside, and let me tell you those smashburgers and fries hit.

Bonus points: Dog AND kid-friendly. So whether you’ve got a pup, a kid, or just questionable taste in friends, you’re welcome here.

10/10 would return preferably on another Open Mic night with a burger in one hand and a cider in the other.“

“As I was heading home tonight (11.23.25 8pm in Bonney Lake) from an incredibly long work week, exhausted and ready for bed, my son called with the news: he had three hungry teenagers suddenly descend on the house. In a panic, I called Frankie's Pizza, worried they were about to close. I felt terrible explaining my situation to the staff, a last-minute, large order with no notice. I was ready for a frustrated sigh, but instead, I was met with immediate, kind understanding. I paid over the phone and raced over. They had my entire order ready to go the moment I walked through the door. Phenomenal service, as always. But the moment that TRULY melted my heart happened when I pulled up to the house and checked the pizzas. Tucked into one of the boxes, right next to the pizza saver, was a handwritten note: "You're a great mom, even if no one acknowledges it. 🙂" I was in tears. Seriously, tears. That small, kind, human gesture cost them absolutely nothing but instantly made my entire stressful work week worth it. It made my heart absolutely smile. Frankie's Pizza is more than just a pizza place; they are truly a part of the community. Not only is their pizza always phenomenal, perfectly cheesy, hot, and delicious, but their level of care and customer service is unmatched. Thank you, Frankie's, for being the best!“

“Tasty food BBQ pork slices were moist and tender which is rare for restaurants around Covington, most times dry. The sweet and sour pork was different. Lots of breading and pieces that looked like shrimp. The glaze was not to my liking where it was thin and runny. Also didn't have any pineapple chunks. The fried rice was decent. For lunch it was a good value. Soup was good.“

“I tried Okasan Teriyaki with a friend. I had the Spicy Teriyaki, and it was pleasantly spicy without being too hot.

The salad was good, and the dressing was a little different from other Teriyaki spots I've been to, but good. The portion size was decent, and the rice was excellent.

My friend had Chicken Teriyaki, and he said it was excellent. If I was in the area and wanted Teriyaki, I would consider coming back.“

“I haven’t had dominos in years but my sister insisted to try it again and her kids love it. They don’t deliver to where I live so I ordered a pick up online. Immediately after placing I realized I messed it up so I called. The girl over the phone fixed it right away. “The food comes fast, the fries a bit on the cold side but the buildings a/c must be on 60 because it was freezing. Variety of drinks is awesome and using fruit gives extra flavor. The new queso lava burger is so neat. It comes in a ring contained on top of burger and then you lift it and it oozes cheese all over the burger. Salmon has good flavor and seasoned well. Wings always hit with teen son.“

He had been cooking in the back for 4 years, it was just his first time infront of people. Let me tell you his food was the best we have ever had there.
