“This is the most amazing Indian food I have had since visiting the UK. We had the chicken Chettinad and the Andhra lamb. Somosa was delicious as well. Garlic Naan was fantastic. I know I leave good reviews a lot, but this one is a chart topper for me. Portions are big to fill you up. We had a medium spice, which was perfect. Will be visiting again and again. “I’m speaking about the Surrey Central restaurant. 1. Our party of 4 was served their hot food on on absolutely ice cold metal trays, these trays were so cold!!!- the only explanation I could think of is the metal trays were next to a wide open window or door- outside temp. was 0 degrees. The hot food was only a 1/2” of height in each of the trays ‘bowls’ so was lukewarm very quickly- the cold trays stayed cold throughout and made our meal uncomfortable for sure! 2. We were, I shudder to say, rudely served our food one tray at a time, a minute or so apart, on the only open spot on the table in front of one of our party, with the only announcement being what was served on that tray- no asking by the server who ordered the food item so the orders could be properly served. I had enough of this by the 4th tray and… 3.I raised my concerns to more or less speechless servers (they were going through their breaks) about the concerns, so an apology was never uttered by the servers. 4. The only moments when servers were somewhat interested in our party’s experience was when they’d ask how’s everything, ‘on the fly’ without ever stopping to give eye contact to anyone in our party! I’m not going to give our entire experience a negative rating only because the food flavour and freshness was excellent- but the above 4 items should be addressed- if not by the chef or maitre’d, then perhaps by the HR dept.“

Each time I've been to this location I've had to do a clean up as the sauce comes out of each containers. When I called the restaurant to advise them if this, they expected I drive back to the restaurant to replace the food. I live about 32 minutes away from the restaurant, so I wasn't interested in doing this. I was advised to freeze the food and bring it in next time and they will make the food better. I'm not sure what they expected for us to eat in the meantime, defeating the whole purpose, of going to pick up take out for dinner.I don't recommend this restaurant at all.However if you want excellent haka Chinese food then go to the Green Lettuce in Vancouver. They are usually quite busy, but most definitely worth waiting when they are.October 2021:Not sure what happened to the quality of the food served this evening. The food was bland, a waste of $53!
