“I really want to love this spot because the donuts look great, but there is a major temperature/quality issue in the afternoons. The storefront faces directly West onto Stone Way, which means it stays shaded and cool for morning customers. However, during the hot summer afternoons, the intense Western sun beams straight through the front windows and cooks the display case for hours before closing time at 6:00 PM. Leaving pastries—especially any with cream or delicate glazes—in direct, hot sunlight for that long raises some food safety and quality concerns. I really hope management considers putting up a UV blind or moving the display case back a few feet to protect the food in the afternoon!“

“It was nice to go here for a couple of donuts in the morning. The woman at the counter was very nice and explained to us the donuts that they had and how they just came out. The mom and pop shop vibe was there and the culture was there as well. Very nice, simple, and decently priced for donuts.“

I’ve been here just the one time, and the donuts are clearly fresh and I agree with another poster who stated a slightly crispy outside and soft inside; which I LOVE. A client after us asked for their lumpia, which is odd but I will have to come back and try that out based on how good the donuts were!“

“I had the pleasure of exploring a different donut spot this morning. Really glad I did! A1, aptly named, lives up to the type. Friendly staff, beautifully styled store, and most important - DELICIOUS donuts!!! Soft, fresh, and flavorful. I'm especially partial to the crunchy PB&J. Take the time, take your favorite people, and take home a dozen. Trust me. You'll be glad you did!“
“Great local family owned donut shop. Simple donuts but affordable and tasty. Bought some donuts today and checked the bag once I got back to my car. Thought the man forgot a donut that I paid for so I went back to sort out the mistake, and it turned out that I wasn’t charged for the one that was missing. He then offered to give me the donut free of charge. It was a wholesome interaction and I’m glad to support a business like this. Will be going back for sure“

“I appreciate the simplicity of this unassuming location and the fantastic donuts they make. Try the blueberry fritter as it's their specialty. The usual favorites (raised, cake, old fashioned, cruellers, filled) are top notch, I always go for the raised glazed and it's perfect.“
“Got the apple cider squishy a la mode, basically a cider slurpee with soft serve in it, and it was perfect on a warm afternoon. It came with a doughnut on top which surprised me because I didn’t know it came with one. Long line but worth the wait.“

“Tired of the crappy store doughnuts? Want something thats far more superior, made with love from awesome people? Well look no further! These doughnuts are WONDERFUL! Nice, light, not dry, great size, perfectly balanced doughnut to icing ratio, TASTY doughnuts! Everytime I walk into their business, its always clean, smells awesome, great customer service, great selection,and always consistent. “I come here every few months for a maple bar, which is deliciously chewy but still airy. There's a small surcharge for paying with card under $5. The coffee is cheap, but not the best quality. I tried a mocha once and it was overly sweet so I'd recommend only doughnuts here.“

“It's been awhile since I have had Mochinut and decided to get a drink and donut after Half Price Books browsing. The new can design is cute but way to much ice, Thai Tea was a little too sweet. There is no option for not to have Boba which I am not always in the mood for, and I got the Mango donut and it was okay kinda of meh to me for flavor. I will go somewhere else for my thai tea and donuts“

Many of the negative reviews are from the same people who are commenting on multiple local business pages when the owners have expressed support for immigrants and human rights. “alright i am just gonna say it. the tighter hole Krispy Kreme donuts are better. smaller center hole means more actual donut, better structure, and somehow they always seem warmer and softer. the big loose hole ones feel like they lost the plot halfway through. Too much empty space. meanwhile the tighter ones are holding it together, glaze locked in, still got some dignity left. You can just tell they stayed committed to the process.
and honestly thank you krispy kreme for staying tight and loyal to me all these years. in a world that loosens ya up, it means something to know I can still walk in and find a donut with some standards. still tight. still putting in the work. respect where respect is due.“
