“I was one of the original beer tenders at this tap house. There were a lot of growing pains, a lot of hardship and camaraderie to make it work. That was then, now it looks like the beers are still cold and delicious, they've got cocktails (Which was a controversial take at the time, but it looks like they went high end with em which is awesome) and even though they took my favorite bratwurst off the food menu, I must say, their chef has his ducks in a row and the food is absolutely a must have for foodies in the area. Bravo, Juice Box. You're killing it.”

“We have always loved Mad Hatter, but their new location is even better than their old one. It’s in a beautiful historic building, right in a walkable part of downtown. “This was exactly what we were looking for. We had just spent the day at Great Wolf Lodge, exhausted and looking for something quiet and warm. Searching around google for family owned Mexican food I stumbled across this gem, and a review that caught my eye about worn tables and chairs, and family of the owners eating there. My kind of place. Let's face it, if it doesn't have a bit of wear, and their family doesn't eat there, it wouldn't be good. We walked in to a smiling and welcoming face, led to our table and was quickly brought chips and was directed to their salsa bar. Now this isn't just some cheap, out of the bottle, salsa bar. These were all homemade. The two that I tried were nice and hot. The chips are not the typical out of the bag and fried variety, these seemed homemade, and authentic, very crispy. We ordered a weekend special, nice price for 3 tacos, rice and beans. I had cabeza and my girlfriend had beef. The meat was perfectly seasoned and nice and tender. He took our request to leave the onions off the tacos. The beans were not refried beans, they were whole pinto beans and had obviously been simmered with spices and onions for a long time. Delicious. It was clear to us that a family owned this wonderful place, and put their heart into it. I am disappointed to not be a local, or I would be a regular for sure.
10/10. Would recommend.

“I ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl with steamed rice and stir fried veggies. Definitely a nice portion size, more than enough for 2 people. I was only able to eat just under half and was more than full. Enough left overs for another meal. The only thing there could have been more of was the teriyaki sauce. The stir fried veggies were extremely delicious.”

“I really needed caffeine on the drive from Tacoma to Vancouver, so I chose this spot based on proximity to I-5. I was pleasantly surprised by the price and how quickly my drink was made! The women working were super friendly, but didn’t pry with questions like they do at Dutch Bros. Unfortunately I forgot to snap a picture, but their oat milk matcha latte was pretty good! I’m a matcha snob who gets it from specialty cafes, so obviously I didn’t find it mind blowing, but it really hit the spot in a pinch. They signed me up for points, so this is likely to be my new spot for these long trips.”

“I originally thought El Amigo was just a grocery store, but it turned out to be so much more. Tucked right by the meat section, they have a cocina where you can order freshly cooked food—and it’s absolutely worth checking out. I’ve tried almost everything they offer, and everything has been delicious, but the true standout for me is the menudo. I’m not Mexican, but I love the flavors, and it tastes incredibly authentic (maybe). Regardless we enjoyed it.

The atmosphere inside the store adds to the whole experience. It feels like you’ve stepped into a little vacation in Mexico—warm, lively, and welcoming. The staff is friendly (special mention to Adela and Hilario) the food is amazing, and the overall vibe makes you want to come back again and again. I’m bringing my friends here.

If you haven’t tried their cocina yet, especially the menudo and Burrito El Pastor, you’re missing out! Punta kayo dito. Pramis, masaya at masarap talaga.”

“This place is legit. So I got seriously into burritos when I lived in San Francisco 20 years ago. In the Mission District you can't walk 10 ft without running into a taqueria and they all are wonderful. One of the things I missed was a spot I would frequent for their chorizo burrito. They fried the chorizo till it was nice and crispy which made all the difference in the world. I have yet to come across a place since that does that. This place does and it immediately brought back memories. Also, these burritos are HUGE. I don't have a scale on me, but if it was less than 2lbs I'd be surprised. Also, as most have said, the owner/chef is super friendly. Glad this place isn't close to home or I would be eating here every other day 😂”

“I live about 90 minutes from Chehalis and I was there for an event and looking for lunch. I can't have gluten or dairy, so I checked for places that could meet that. Unfortunately the GF restaurant was closed, but my app suggested Vicky's. I saw they had yucca and chicarones among other foods that looked safe, so we decided to give it a try.

Let me tell you, this was one of the best decisions I've made. The horchatta alone was mind blowingly good! It had vanilla, spice and just the right amount of sweet. I think they used more than just cinnamon because it had a fuller flavor than most horchatta I have had. I did get the yucca and chicarones and the yucca was golden and crunchy and the pork practically melted once I bit through the crunchy exterior. My partner got the Vicky's burrito and said it had more flavor than any burrito he's ever had. We both agreed that we need to go back to Chehalis to eat at Vicky's again.”

“Thank you Country Cousin for a wonderful experience yesterday. My date has diabetes and was holding on to the hostess podium to keep from falling when we were waiting for a table. I took her out to the door lobby so she could sit down for a while. The kindest server came out with a glass of orange juice and said: "Diabetes?" "Yeah, that's it" I said with my jaw on the floor as she gave it to my friend. She drank some of juice, recovered, and another kind young lady came out and told us she got us a table that was close. We sat down, enjoyed our awesomely yummy meal that was served by yet another kind gentleman and had the best time. Thank you Country Cousin, your cooks, servers, hosts/hostesses for just a... faith-in-humanity-restoring experience. Your service and kindness made a big difference to these two customers, and I'm sure you do for everyone else as well.”

“I ordered a chicken burrito with onions and bell peppers with mole sauce on top. I noticed I didn't get the right thing after 2 bites & when I spoke up for myself, the little Hispanic gal just rolled her eyes at me & took it back. Finally bringing my stuff out correctly, I ask for my boxes & for the check. Long behold they charge me for both burritos. I told her I did even eat the first one, & I get told wrll you took a bite out of it. You ate it, that's two burritos. I ordered two pops also & it came out to be $60. I unfortunately won't be back cause I used to love this place.”

“I stayed here because it was 5 minutes from where I was working for two days and because I live near the McMenimans Anderson School and have been to several of the restaurants and bars there several times.

The hotel is definitely a historic building. Definitely cool but also creaky and everything that comes with an old building. I thought the communal bathroom would bother me but it was not an issue. Several near my room. Room had no TV which I didn’t think about but I’m sure was advertised. Mt room was clean and the bathrooms were clean every time I used them. Close proximity to the train tracks is my biggest complaint. Very loud several times a night and in the morning with the horn because there is a crossing near the hotel. They have earplugs in the side table but I didn’t want to miss my alarm.

The staff was very nice. The restaurant downstairs is good, I would recommend it. They have a movie theater. It was cheap and definitely interesting. I would say worth the money.”

“GGs Teriyaki & Sushi's blended green milk tea with tapioca is refreshingly good! I like mine with a lot less sugar than the average American palate. GG's staff makes them to order without adding any fake sweeteners and does a great job!

Their sushi, gyoza (pot stickers), chicken teriyaki and other menu items have all been fresh and tasty too.”

“I’ve been coming here for about 25 years. The food is just as good as ever, and the service is amazing. We haven’t been here in over a year, maybe two, and don’t know any of the employees for the first time ever. But they still treated us like they were serving friends. Always 10/10! And the portions are HUGE. At least 4 meals worth.”

“I love coming to this Denny's. It is better than most and they treat you like loving family. When you smile at people coming in and greet them nicely, it is a good sign that you are going to treat people good. That and the good fact that the cooks are pretty good at what they do. I love their new value menu. It is better than the old 246 menu. I would happily spend my money here than the Kissing cousin place in the same parking lot. Service is much better here.”
