“Chinook Coffee CO is our go to on the Peninsula. Best Customer Service! Especially with the historic Valorie. But it starts with the ownership. Today she not only created over the top yummy Kona Mocha drinks but helped us out in a jam. We were on our way to a surgical post op appointment in Longview when our battery died at the window. She called her husband he immediately came with jumpers and revived the battery. She spoiled us with fresh warm crispy crumbles from her fresh baked yummy cookies. We made it to Longview, to my appointment and got a new car battery. Now that is customer service!”

“Lovely people making great food. It was cold and windy when I visited and the owner said I could go ahead and wait in my car and he would bring me my food - so sweet! I got a carnitas super burrito and it was delicious! their tomatillo salsa and regular salsa are both fantastic.”

“We did a lecture on Salt and Spirits with Pilot House Distillery and Columbia Maritime museum on the use of ships ion the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean with 4 tastings and candy infused with whiskey. Great lecture and slide show. Speakers worked well with each other and was very informative. About 30 people in attendance and lively discussion from all. I would recommend a visit to either of these businesses when you are in Astoria Oregon. If you want a wonderful museum with interactive exhibits oh and a real light ship, or floating light house Columbia Maritime is your place to be, if you want goof whisky then Pilot House is where you want to head to, or do both. Both locally born and operated for many years.”

“Was on a quick lunch break and craving soup. First time stopping in and got the Sopa de Frijoles to go. The guy behind the counter asked if I wanted to add anything spicy, and was delighted when he threw in a cup of chilero. Warming, tasty and just what I needed to get through the rest of the day. “I am not a fish fan. Never have been, never will. That said...this place had the best food I had on my vacation, no doubt. Listen, you're in Astoria, on the coast, if you don't get some fish of some sort then what are you even doing. Stop here. If the weather's nice, there will probably be a line and a wait. Don't worry about it. Just do it. I had the half basket fish & chips. Should have gone full, because while I had plenty to eat, I wished I had more. If I'm ever in the area again this will be the lunch stop.”

“Amazing. We were told if you go to Astoria go and try the fish n Chips from this one place but they sold out and so we saw this place and we were so glad we did. Hubby had the Philly cheesesteak and I had the fish n chips, we both shared the awesome bowl of claim chowder. FYI they have the best tarter sauce”

“This is the very best paninni meal that I have ever had! I grew up in an "upscale" tourism area. The towns there had new gourmet restaurants and eateries open every week. They usually closed down equally quickly. Evidently we residents were not overly impressed by number of stars or famous names. If V's Coastal Cafe were somehow magically transported to Monterey Peninsula/Carmel, they would be the most popular place on that peninsula. I cannot possibly describe everything about V's Corner Cafe other than to say "perfection". Whether you are a local or a visitor, it is a destination you do not want to miss. The place is amazing, as are the owners.”

“We come to Astoria once or twice a year. I’ve eyeballed this place because my grandparents were from Cornwall. Grandma used to make pasties and I haven’t had a good one for around 55 years. Including mine. But their Ogie… just as I remember grandma Treloar making! Must be the rutabagas! lol! I will be coming here again! Loved the food and talking to the owner.”

“Saw their ad in the Neptune theater the night before. When we went walking around the next day of our staycation, looking for breakfast, we came across the creperie, tucked away in the back like a hidden gem. I had the Monte Cristo and my wife had the Jumping Jack Bbq Chicken. We both got jalapeños for just a touch of kick, no spice, just more added flavor.

The owner recommended we sit on the roof of the Sandbar restaurant where, a really nice dining area was set up, with plenty of seating. It has wind breaks for a breezy day as well but, we took advantage of the beautiful sun and no wind, a real treat for February! On days where the weather isn't cooperating as much, you can sit inside the Sandbar resturant for a more traditional setting.

Both of our crepes were delicious, and full of wonderful flavor! The crepes come in a pizza pocket style holder, and it is recommended to leave it in that, as it is loaded with ingredients and may fall apart without it, or the other option would be a knife and fork, which someone like my wife would prefer. I'm more of a hands on guy, but to each their own.

The food was delicious and the owner was very nice, we will be back to try different flavors or, enjoy our new favorites.”
