“I was in the area near the Vehicle Licensing office and decided to look for a spot for lunch. Luckily, I stumbled upon a Thai restaurant—clean, modern, yet with an atmosphere that reminded me of my travels in Asia, where the ground floors of residential buildings often become cozy eateries. It brought back so many memories. We tried the Duck & Pork Belly combination. Duck was impeccable. Love their version of pork belly which has a certain chewiness and a nice crunch from the skin. The red curry (asked for 4 for heat) and it was mild with a little smoldering kick. Beautiful! We are heading back as we saw another table ordered the lunch special. Generous portion of curry, noodles & appetizer.

So if you love Thai food or simply want to try one,this is highly recommended—authentic atmosphere and nostalgia in one meal.“

“Tried Seree for the first time last night. They really did a beautiful job transitioning the space from an old Sheree's restaurant to an upscale Thai restaurant. The service was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was really delicious. We had crispy chicken wings, Salmon Choo Chee, Phad Thai, Thai Fried Rice, and a delicious beef salad. Overall, I loved it but will expect to pay a little extra for the atmosphere and great food next time, as the prices are higher than the typical Thai restaurant.“

“Had a great experience at Five Sisters Thai Cuisine in Renton! Everything was fresh and full of flavor—the spring rolls were crisp and tasty, the Panang Curry with shrimp had a perfect balance of spice and creaminess, and the Pla Rad Prik was beautifully cooked with just the right heat. The jasmine tea rounded out the meal perfectly. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and Binda provided exceptional service, making the experience even better. “An honest review: My grandma discovered this spot almost 30 years ago, and since then my parents and grandma have eaten here often, always saying it was amazing. Today I ordered food for takeaway for the third time, and honestly, it was just incredible. The Pad Thai is absolutely delicious, the Yellow Curry was amazing, same with the spring rolls and the Red Curry. The atmosphere is a bit dated, but the super tasty food and the incredibly sweet and friendly owners more than make up for it.
In short: The food is fantastic, the owners are super kind and sweet, the atmosphere is so-so — but if you want authentic, insanely good Thai food, this place is definitely a go-to.“

“Stopped by Tong Tong Thai on a spur-of-the-moment decision and was really impressed! The ingredients were fresh, the food came out hot, and the service was both speedy and friendly. I ordered a level 2 spice but realized I should’ve gone with level 3 for the perfect kick. Regardless, the flavor and taste were excellent.

Overall, a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more!

“First time to this area, drove by and decided to stop. Not bad! The sauce was “brothy” and tasted light and flavorful. I got spice level 4 but it wasn’t spicy at all. They did bring extra spices to the table. I was here for lunch and thought rice came with it. It did not, it was additional. No biggie, just wanted to mention as I’ve been to Thai places for lunch where you get the rice included. Service was great.“

“I’ve been here a few times and the food has always been great. This time, however, the service was slow. I asked the waitress for an extra plate so I could share the papaya salad with my mom and her friend, but it took a long time for the plates to arrive. We eventually decided not to wait and ate the papaya salad with the rest of our food, which ended up being messy because of the fish sauce.

Aside from that, the food was still very good. For those who don’t like raw vegetables, I wouldn’t recommend the papaya salad, as it can be hard on the stomach—especially if you’ve recently had gallbladder surgery. I mention this because I didn’t realize my mom’s friend couldn’t eat raw food, so sticking to soup is a better option. Their soup is very good, and we really enjoyed it.“

“Very Delicious food. Pad Thai is to die for. Appetizers were also amazing. We had the pork belly, fried chicken wings, and the Fresh rolls. The sauce on the fresh rolls was not your typical peanut sauce. It was fused with lemon grass which was delicious. 10/10 overall.“

“I'm at the hotel across the street. I was originally going to walk over to the mall area and the Olive Garden, but I saw the sign for teriyaki and thought it would be good to support a small business.

I walked in through the mini mart. The man behind the counter asked if I was looking for teriyaki after I looked a little lost. He pointed me to the other side of the shop and met me over there.

I wish I'd thought to ask his name. He was very nice and personable. I told him I'd be in town for a couple days and was looking for a good spot. I asked what's good on the menu. He pointed out a few things, but I settled on the spicy orange chicken.

When I checked out, I thought it might be a tad pricey, but I also recognize the importance of helping a small business. While I waited for my order, I went back to the mini mart side and got a ginger ale and some gum. The same gentleman rang me up there.

Then, back next door, I looked at my phone for a minute or two, and he came back to thank me for my patience. While thoughtful, I was not put out at all, I had only placed the order a few minutes before, and it really didn't seem like much of a wait.

My food came out in short order, he bagged it up and put all the things I'd need (utensils, napkins, soy sauce) inside before I asked. He left me with a smile, and I walked across the street to my hotel to eat.

Bringing it up to my room, I saw that it was a lot of food. Honestly, I SHOULD have only eaten half and saved the rest for the next day. But I didn't.

The orange chicken was perfect. Just delicious. The rice was just right. Honestly, I can't think of a thing that would make it better.

“We lived in Laos for 7 years and love Lao food. This is by far the most authentic tasting Lao food that we have found. We especially like their nem khao, Lao style sausages, and their jeow mak lin is the only real-tasting Lao tomato salsa that I have ever found outside of Laos or my wife's kitchen. They have done amazing job with their flavors and indoor casual atmosphere (feels very modern Vientiane chic). They seem to have a hard time keeping their khao piak noodles on hand so if you really your khao piak fix, be sure to call ahead. I have now been to Sweet Rice 5 times and they have never had the khao piak noodles. If you want really good Lao food and can't get over there, you can get your fix at Sweet Rice!“

“I've eaten here about 6 times and everything I've tried has been delicious. Usually I get soup - their Kao Pon is so tasty. The balance between the spiciness and the coconut milk and other flavors is amazing. Other highlights are the Pho and I usually share the Beef Sticks as an appetizer. The sauce that comes with them is so unique and spicy; they should bottle it! Comes with sticky rice. The staff are friendly and always create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. “Ordered a pork Banh mi it was good, wished it had few more strands of cilantro but otherwise it was pretty good. Ordered Thai iced tea and a taro bubble tea, both great! I wasn’t a fan on their broth, I usually get flank meat but they only have steak. Will be back for more Banh Mi and drinks!“
