“We were so pleasantly surprised by this place! Although there’s a decent amount of Thai restaurants in Federal Way, it’s hard to find those of quality. The orange chicken here is now my step-mother’s favorite and the chicken satay is my dad’s favorite. The cashew chicken was great and so was the Thai iced tea that I got! They brought out everything as soon as it was done, which is such a great thing for restaurants to do since I like my food HOT. This is our new go-to spot, hands down!“

“The food was wonderful!! Full 5 stars! My favorite is the cashew noodle and I love that you can, for a small fee, add an additional serving of protein, which I did. The gyoza was wonderful too. So many restaurants take out is not as nice as at the restaurant, but not theirs. I opened both orders and it was arranged so beautifully, like a pretty picture and it tasted as good as it looked. I'm so happy to have them 5 minutes away. You won't be sorry with what you order, I'm sure it will be excellent too. Thanks for the great food!!“

Kitchen was fast and spotlessly clean, they even had really nice bathrooms. “After a couple of bad experiences in the area, simply Thai was perfect. The portions are big. Their pad Thai wasn’t just perfect. The Thai fried rice was ok. And the service was perfect.

“I’ve been here a few times and the food has always been great. This time, however, the service was slow. I asked the waitress for an extra plate so I could share the papaya salad with my mom and her friend, but it took a long time for the plates to arrive. We eventually decided not to wait and ate the papaya salad with the rest of our food, which ended up being messy because of the fish sauce.

Aside from that, the food was still very good. For those who don’t like raw vegetables, I wouldn’t recommend the papaya salad, as it can be hard on the stomach—especially if you’ve recently had gallbladder surgery. I mention this because I didn’t realize my mom’s friend couldn’t eat raw food, so sticking to soup is a better option. Their soup is very good, and we really enjoyed it.“

Lunch special is everything one could ask for, soup, salad, rice, and yummy noodles with plenty of spice if that's how you get down! I couldn't recommend this establishment more and I don't really eat out much since most restaurants are ridiculous. To legit to quit it's noodle time lol!“

The food is excellent and the portions are mostly good. They have a dish called Sweet Chili that we really like. The atmosphere is very nice. Tastefully decorated.“

“We catered food from Yamada Teriyaki and were blown away. The samosas were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the House Special Fried Rice was a total hit, generously loaded with tender meat, shrimp, and vegetables, all seasoned to perfection.

Everything arrived fresh, hot, and beautifully packed. The portions were generous, and the quality was outstanding. The service was smooth, friendly, and reliable. For the price and portion sizes, the catering option is absolutely worth it.

One thing I also really like is that Mandalay Deli Mart is right next door, so it is super convenient to grab drinks, snacks, Burmese goodies, or quick deli items all in one stop.

Highly recommend Yamada Teriyaki for catering, authentic flavors, great presentation, and excellent value. We will definitely be back for more.“

“We lived in Laos for 7 years and love Lao food. This is by far the most authentic tasting Lao food that we have found. We especially like their nem khao, Lao style sausages, and their jeow mak lin is the only real-tasting Lao tomato salsa that I have ever found outside of Laos or my wife's kitchen. They have done amazing job with their flavors and indoor casual atmosphere (feels very modern Vientiane chic). They seem to have a hard time keeping their khao piak noodles on hand so if you really your khao piak fix, be sure to call ahead. I have now been to Sweet Rice 5 times and they have never had the khao piak noodles. If you want really good Lao food and can't get over there, you can get your fix at Sweet Rice!“

The balance between the spiciness and the coconut milk and other flavors is amazing. Other highlights are the Pho and I usually share the Beef Sticks as an appetizer. The sauce that comes with them is so unique and spicy; they should bottle it! Comes with sticky rice. The staff are friendly and always create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Truly love this place!“
