Orcas Island is a favorite of ours. We visit at least once a year in February as a break from the winter weather at home. Most trips, we visit Rosario and the Mansion, because it is such a beautifuland historic spot.The Mansion changed hands a few years ago and another sale has just been completed. We are hopeful that will bring it back to the 5 star restaurant it should be. The main dining room has been closed, and currently, meals are served in the hallway. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the restaurant offers a comfortable atmosphere and a beautiful view of the water. The food and drinks are fresh and delicious, however, the atmosphere and service have been noted to have declined. The ribeye steak, priced at $55, was cooked to the desired temperature but lacked taste, requiring extra salt for flavor. Despite this, the overall dining experience is considered acceptable, but with room for improvement in terms of seasoning and value for money.
