Maize & Barley Reviews
Genuine, carefully thought out, made-from-scratch food. Great draft beer selections.
fantastic food, great staff, cozy and inviting environment. I ordered the homemade black bean soup and pickled vegetables with a glass of cabernet from Basel Cellars, perfect way to end my afternoon holding an open house. Never have been disappointed each time I returned here, the food is really delicious! - Sabrina Matson
Perfect place for a nice chill hang out with a friend or two!!! Tacos are amazing and good sized, fresh with really interesting combinations, and tasty hot sauce. Lots of great local beers and ciders on tap. Great little place, will definitely be back!

Maize & Barley is a small restaurant in Edmonds with a lot of heart, known for its delicious sandwiches and a fantastic beer selection, now also featuring tasty tacos. Customers appreciate the kind service and recommend trying the Cubano sandwich for $15 or the ginger glazed tofu sandwich, both served on homemade buns. Recently, the menu has changed to include more tacos, and Chef Anthony continues to excel with flavors and ingredients. The restaurant focuses on organic and local food, with vegetarian and vegan options clearly marked. Many enjoy the larger-than-usual tacos, with options for meat and vegan varieties, and appreciate the fresh ingredients and unique dishes that always taste delicious. The tacos feature corn tortillas and cheese made fresh in the kitchen, and customers suggest ordering two for a satisfying meal. The cozy spot has a nice patio facing the sidewalk, perfect for people watching while enjoying a meal. Although the seating area is small, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, making it a true hidden gem for great food and drinks. The beverage menu is impressive, with lovely, easy-to-drink beers and homemade syrups for non-alcoholic options. Portions are generous, with some dishes like the rockfish and mesquite pork tacos and red bean soup offering perfect sizes at reasonable prices. The wooden accents and local art add to the inviting ambiance, making it a delightful place to visit.
