Thanks to Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard for a successful winter haul out to take care of some big projects. Replaced seacocks, glassed over unused through-hulls, two coats of bottom paint and the props were sent out for rebalancing (because a ding was discovered when the boat came out of the water). The day before Labor Day, at the beginning of a three-week cruise, our diesel auxiliary began overheating. I would have changed the impeller, but the engine is reversed to make more room in the cabin. I simply could not reach it. On Labor Day all boatyards were closed, but Gig Harbor Marine answered my call and scheduled an appointment for the next day.
