Visited Arleana's when they opened and thought the food was mediocre. Under Executive Chef Jacob Howell, the food is SUPERB! Visited for dinner on Tuesday and returned for brunch yesterday. Both meals were sooooo tasty! The salmon for the brown-stewed dinner dish was cooked perfectly; the chicken and biscuit at brunch was a treat for my taste buds! Arleana’s is one of the best brunches we’ve ever had! The food was very flavorful and portions were generous. So great to have a place in the area that does Southern and Caribbean style food very well.We tried the catfish, the crawfish boudin soul rolls, and the hushpuppies with jerk maple. Fantastic food, the gumbo was some of the best. Halibut was very good, but small portions for the amount for what it cost. Black eye pea stew was terrific. Good wine selection. Everything was very tasty but expensive.
