“I had mostly dismissed this place as a chain restaurant. Which it is, but very well done! It’s in a good location, food is affordable and the service is prompt. I’m not an expert at the cuisine, but loved what we ordered. The kale salad was simple and delicious. The crab meat xiaolongbaos were the bomb.“
“It had been at least 5 years since we've last been to Din Tai Fung. We enjoyed our meal. I think I liked the Shrimp & Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons the most out of all the things we've selected. For dessert, we loved the Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao, and I could have finished an order of 5 on my own because of how good it was. I'm not sure when we'll be back, but I eventually want to try everything on the menu at least once.“
“Is this in the backrooms of Seattle? Yes. This is in an old mall in Seattle that's 3/4 abandoned and empty. The only heart of that building is now Din Tai Fung where you can have the best dumplings on the West Coast. My partner and I showed up without a reservation. It waw a small wait to sit at the bar. I would have liked to see plates of (12) dumplings in stead of (10) but that's because I'm paying $15 for an order. more than $1 per dumpling is a sad reality but worth every penny if you're looking for damn good dumplings and a bit of an experience. Come hungry and ready to spend $60 per person on dumplings, apps, and drinks.“
“As a first time visitor to this restaurant I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and professional. Food was very tasty and delivered promptly. I especially liked the Black Truffle & Chicken Xiao Long Bao. Such a great first time experience. I will definitely come back and would highly recommend eating here. Remember to book a reservation. They fill up fast.“
“Excellent food with outstanding service. On our way out after indulging in most of the menu nearly every staff member in the dining room thanked us.Thank you again Joon for outstanding service!Parking: There is easy access to parking on Bell Square across the street. Or paid parking in Lincoln Square with validation from your server.“
“The food is good - I ordered takeout and picked it up on my way to the train station. Cute packaging….but there are no eating utensils, napkins or even sauce for my dumplings!!! I understand not including especially utensils and napkins - that turns into garbage. But at least ask if one needs it when you hand over the order! And for sure include the sauce with the dumplings. Who ever heard of such a thing??“
“We have been coming here for years and Shanghai Garden is always excellent. Great for large parties of people. We ordered about 12 dishes for 10 very hungry people and every dish was excellent. It was about $25 per person, so the price was normal for Seattle. The eggplant, the hand shaved barley noodles and the orange chicken were excellent. We will keep coming back.“
“Enjoyed takeout from here recently. Order was delivered with high quality, and the packaging was of a high standard. I got the fried wontons with sweet and spicy garlic sauce, and the beef stew noodles (a perfect dish when you're under the weather or needing comfort food!). Both were super flavorful and I was almost sad when they were eaten!! Really impressed by how good this was for takeout, surprisingly worth the price. I haven't eaten in the building yet but based on this experience I'm sure the restaurant will be good. It looks like a nice space in there with plenty seating and parking available too.“
“Terrible parking but great food. it's tucked back in the corner with very little street parking. The food is worth driving around for a space. Everything we tried was delicious. I loved the cucumber spirals and the pan fried dumplings. The green onion pancake was not greasy at all. They were out of soup dumplings, so we didn't get to try those. This is a great place to go for dumplings, and it's half the price of bigger places like, maybe, DTF. It has less variety, but it's just as good.“
“pretty good for a chain dim sum place. the xiaolongbao are decent but nothing to write home about. everything else is similar, not amazing but not terrible. the real highlight for us was the chili wontons! service is very fast but not exceptional in any way. the wait times do get long here around dinner.“
“We went there for a dinner and it was a great experience. A minimal but great ambience and everything tasted awesome and fairly priced. We ordered the following:Pork & Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao (*2) - 8 pieces - $9.25 eaChicken Xiao Long Bao (*2) - 8 pieces - $9.25 eaFried Wonton with Chili Sauce - 6 pieces - $7.15 eaSweet & Sour Cucumber (*2) - $7.15 eaDan Dan Noodles (*2) - $7.75 eaPork Wontons in Chicken Broth - $7.75All the above listed items were delicious and worth praising. Absolutely recommended. We would love to visit here again when we visit Seattle.“
“Absolutely delicious. We came here once for work and it was good enough we came back the next day!If it’s busy, be prepared to wait a bit for a table and for some of your foods - the kitchen can be the slow part. However, it’s amazinglyWorth it. Every dish we had felt authentic and was tasty.“
“So happy with the fried dumplings, so delish, great crunch then so juicy inside. Great and fast service, Winston was really helpful making sure that my frozen dumplings would stay frozen. He packed it well with ice, appreciate that as I live a bit far from Bellevue. Will come back and recommend to friends.“
“We ordered green onion pancakes and noodles. Onion pancakes were best, we ordered them twice. We ordered vegetarian dumplings assuming it is vegetarian, luckily before serving our waiter checked with us and said it was not a pure vegetarian and skipped serving it to us. Good service, and tasty food but I wish they had more vegetarian options.“
“This is my second time in a dumpling restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Being a dumpling novice I was pleased that the server was patient and explained the menu along with recommendations. The food and ice tea was excellent! I will definitely return. Nice atmosphere too!“
