“If you’re craving dumplings, this is a must-visit place. Every dumpling we tried was delicious. The stand outs were the beef & onion and pork xiaolongbao. Service was polite and quick. Skip dough zone and din tai fung, this place is much better. Truly a hidden gem!“

“Very tasty dim sum options! Their sesame balls are some of the best I've had. This place has been around as long as I can remember, though we only came here recently after our favorite place across the street closed down. The staff is quite friendly and fast, and - while it's an older building - it is clean. The only challenge is their prices aren't always posted, so our bill was slightly higher than anticipated. Still, we would definitely return! Positive experience.“

“Went to the BBQ side and had a great rice with the BBQ pork and roast pork rice! Super fresh and tender. Last time I was here I had the clay pot rice with minced pork with salted fish! Really nostalgic toisanese dish my mom would make. The beef chow fun was also really good and not oily.“

“Our first visit was yesterday for lunch and we had Chicken Xiao Long Bao, Chicken pan-fried potstickers, Chicken and Vegetable Won-tons in sweet and sour sauce and Spicy (Ma la) noodles.....all were very good! The service was excellent and we enjoyed the whole experience!!“

“We had the ginger chicken and house fried rice. This place is one of the only Chinese restaurant left in Beacon Hill. This says a lot considering this use to be a Chinese neighborhood. The food is classic Chinese American. We will definitely be going back to contributing to their preservation. The first time we had it was at a catered event. I’m glad we went back. It’s an old school classic. Supporting or neighbors will be a joy. Can’t wait to try the chow mein.“

“The potstickers were delicious and the egg fried rice (which they might not have by the time you read this review because it was on the specials menu) was amazing my new favorite food. The service was incredibly fast we got food in like 4-5 minutes and the staff was very kind.“

“One of the best restaurants in town, no question! Their vegan options are SO GOOD. We can’t recommend them enough. Fresh, delicious, good portions, solid options, and just so good. A total must if in Seattle.😁“

“Got lunch here on a Saturday. There was plenty of seating. We were welcomed in by friendly people working at the counter. Once we ordered, the food came pretty quickly but it was obviously made fresh. The rice roll was perfect, the fried dumplings were delicious. Would love to go back. Also, got some sesame balls (not pictured) and an egg tart for dessert - the perfect end to the meal.“

“First visit. Had reservation for one of the later slots on Christmas Eve. Although the restaurant was busy, the table was ready and chairs had Santa-themed covers, which was a nice touch. Server was efficient and took order in a timely manner, and food came out hot, fresh, and surprisingly quick, but server definitely had her hands full. The food was delicious. Be sure to get some spicy soup dumplings.... yummy, and I was told they are the 'best' ones. That said, I'll try the others on future visits. The duck was notably delicious, as was the sauteed bok choy, which was more than enough for four people to share. Our party also ordered the fried tofu, which was refreshingly light-fried and non-greasy. Also got a shrimp and noodle dish that was good, but we either received the veggie version... I don't remember seeing shrimp (or finding any) as I ate, but noodles were still good and it would take a lot more than that for me to have complained on Christmas Eve (or any other night, really). All the food was delicious and served quickly. Looking forward to the next opportunity for me to eat there.“

“For a Tuesday afternoon, the line wasn’t too long, but they were definitely busy. To be honest, I can’t even remember if we got the Pineapple Bun or the Curry Beef Hom Bow. I remember it was good, but not out-of-this-world amazing. I would still say it’s worth a stop if you’re touring Pike’s Place (especially if you love Chinese pastries). However, since I can’t even remember what I ordered, it wasn’t as memorable as I had hoped.“

“The dumplings were on point, and the mushroom egg soup was delicious. It is admirable to see the owner hosting, cooking, serving and bussing. The decore is a bit dated, but it is clean and always friendly. You’ll have to ask for soy sauce, don’t be shy. Definitely worth supporting her business and her delicious food.“

“Great atmosphere and super friendly service! The food tastes authentic and flavorful, just like Hong Kong. The portions are generous and the price is reasonable. Loved their roast dishes and dim sum, definitely coming back again. Highly recommended!“

“From the moment the dishes arrived, it was clear that this establishment adheres to a truly traditional and artisanal approach. Unlike many places that rely on frozen or mass-produced options, the dim sum here is undeniably made in-house and by hand.
• Evidence of Skill: The precision and consistency of the pleats on the dumplings (如:虾饺的褶皱), the delicate shaping of the buns (如:包子的造型), and the fresh, vibrant fillings spoke volumes. This attention to detail immediately elevates the dining experience above the typical.
• The Texture Difference: The wrappers (皮) were a standout—thin, resilient, and perfectly translucent, holding their shape without being sticky or breaking. This level of craftsmanship is the foundation of great dim sum.“

“Seattle's BEST Chinese food. 1 star off on service is bc food does come in slow so probably not a good choice if u are already really starving. however, u literally taste they make everything from scratch.
one more time, this place is Seattle's BEST CHINESE FOOD.“

“Decent delicious food. Chicken wings were great. Got Salt and pepper squid and chowfun noodles.Good quality and quantity. They even gave us complimentary BBQ pork buns and a Dessert. Probably the best spot in the city to go late for late night craving. Also check out the cute fishes in the aquarium at the entrance.“

“Edit: First time eating in. Super nice staff. Fill out the card to place your order. The hostess spent time with me figuring out what was the right dish. She was super helpful. Sun was glaring at me, made my head hurt. They moved us to another table with the same problem. The food was pretty good! Not too spicy. I was still eating when they brought the bill. I guess they wanted me to leave! Restaurant wasn't busy Sunday at 3pm. Ugly soda cans stacked up in the middle of the restaurant to show the drink choices. We go out to eat specifically to have time with each other. We can try it again for the good food and lovely staff and see if we feel rushed out.
Previous: Wonderful take out noodles. Easy service, online ordering.“

“The service is absolutely terrible. I would give it a negative 10 if I could. I bought two steamed buns which can perfectly fit into a paper bag. The staff put them in a plastic box without asking me so she can charge me the box fee. I told her I do not need a box and please put them in a paper bag. The staff yelled at me "Don't ever come back again!!!" It is like robbery in plain day light. They force you to purchase the plastic box you do not need. I noticed they used to have plastic plates for dining ins, but now they got rid of all the plastic plates so customers who eat in have no option but to buy their plastic boxes. This is forced sale. How Sneaky! The staff are always yelling at you and extremely rude. They are incapble of speaking normally. Definitely avoid this place.“

“Got 5 xiaolong bao for 15 dollars! Very expensive but bao tastes good!
Recommend to try it but I won’t repeat it!
Attention: how to bite bao without spraying people around you?
Poke a hole on the top and let the hot air go out!“

“Hands down the best clay pot rice in Washington, especially the yellow eel one. It's super rare to have clay pot rice in the US, very surprised that they are making such authentic one here. This dish is not hard to make, but very difficult to have such good taste. Balanced flavor, fresh ingredients, perfect crisp for the bottom layer of rice. They also have a lot of other authentic dishes which we will being going back and try them all out. You can clearly tell the skill of the cook from the flavor of just this one dish. We also had some veggie and fish, they are also very good, fresh, balance flavor.“

“Seafood and dim sum“

“For me, it was by far the best dimsum and Cantonese restaurant in Seattle/Bellevue area. We had 12 people including 5 kids and everyone enjoyed all the dishes we had. Food wasn’t too salty unlike for most places. We paid a lot more than what we usually did in other places but I think that it was because we ordered a market price dish. It was worth it.“

“We’ve been coming here for 12 years. The food is always good and fresh. The service at times can take awhile but that’s if they’re short staffed. Even then you can see the employees are trying their best and you still get tea, water and your meal. They even remember my kids and notice how they’ve grown between visits. Love this restaurant, their food and the staff!“

“This review is based on take out! I recommend you call ahead if you're interested in the Xinjiang Baked bread below as they may sold out end of the day. The staff were very polite as well, I read from other reviews it is under new management. The other dish was Xinjiang hand pulled rice (unfortunately I already ate half of it before taking the photos 😂 - it is good portion!). They have other dishes I'll have to come back and try, but these are popular recently.
Both dishes are cumin-forward and I love cumin, so I think they're flavorful. The lamb was prepared excellently as there was no gamey smell to it. The rice comes with chickpeas and also pickled/oily carrots (not pictured) which were very tasty with the rice.
The meat filling in the bread was really good, and the pastry was soft and filling. I do think it's a bit thicker than I'm used to, but I never really had Xinjiang food so you can disregard me on that.
Overall I will be visiting again, definitely plus points to the polite waitress and waiter, even giving me suggestions on how to reheat for optimum taste!“
