“Very calm and peacefull environments. There was another table of 2 already eating when I arrived and it still took about 30-40 minutes from my arrival to get my order taken and to get my food on the table. Wait time is definitely a bit too long, had to get my own to-go box and ask to pay before leaving.
Aside from the wait time, the food was excelent. I loved their desert Black Lava Baos, 10/10 would get every time. I also got the lamb with scallion steamed dumplings. The fresh handmade dumplings were seasoned perfectly and were delicious. The food was great and the portion sizes are great! It was very filling and satisfying.“

“The food is excellent and I was pleasantly surprised at amount of food we got. The service is good and the food comes out quickly. We were on vacation, were hungry and intentionally got off the train in Chinatown. We asked someone where we could get the best Chinese food and she recommended Jade Garden.
I initially selected a dish that included fish and the host asked me if I had ever had the fish before. When I said no, he recommended that I select something else because it had a strong flavor so I went with a dish I recognized. The rice noodles with chicken was absolutely delicious as was the fried rice. There was more chicken than I have had at restaurants in the state where I live. And the chicken was in large chunks and very tender.“

“Located on 7th Avenue and Jackson Street, Diamond Bay, as of 2025, boasts being the newest and most modern Chinese restaurant in Seattle's Chinatown International District.
Now, if you walk to front, located on 7th Avenue, you'll see glass two doors.
The glass door on the LEFT-HAND SIDE allows you to enter a magnificent grand dining room, filled with round tables, a small speaking stage, and wall-strung-coordinated monitors along the south wall. A mix of the old 1950's elegant Seattle Chinatown banquet restaurants fused with the modern 21st Century technology of 2026. A banquet may already be in progress. If not, there is a full menu experience awaiting you and your party to both attentive service and a beautiful dining area.
However, I want to focus on the glass door on the RIGHT-HAND SIDE, which brings you into a bustling cafe.
Casual diners pretty much could seat themselves, but check-in anyways, just to make sure the busy waitstaff sees them - and that's a smart idea. You figure out THIS is the place to be, not just a hole in the wall, but where modern dining action now belongs - no pretension of a large banquet hall, just good food that only a cafe produces. Outstanding!! It's a cafe that was sorely missed after almost 10 years of absence.
Inside is the action of a casual Chinese restaurant with the bustle of a Hong Kong Style restaurant at 1:30am on a Saturday night - which may very well happen, every night. Roasted duck, pork and chicken hang in the window, and the limited menu awaits for the lunch crowd, or that casual meal of simple Soy-Sauce Duck over rice. Nostalgic.
I ordered a BBQ Pork Wonton Noodle Soup, and ordered a simple Soy Sauce Chicken over rice. Quick and tasty. No ceremony. Just the right food that hit the spot, and then on our way to our next meeting. The menu is casual, but definitely, and full kitchen experience. The owners surely knew what they were doing when the designed the two restaurants with the two dining experiences. Perfect.
Would I go back? To the Cafe... Absolutely.
I am sure I would go to the banquet side in the future. But my tummy will always crave the hustle and bustle of on the Cafe Side.
Come on over. You'll probobly see me, and everyone else you know, getting BBQ Pork.
But come on over none-the-less!
It'll be delicisious.“

“We had the ginger chicken and house fried rice. This place is one of the only Chinese restaurant left in Beacon Hill. This says a lot considering this use to be a Chinese neighborhood. The food is classic Chinese American. We will definitely be going back to contributing to their preservation. The first time we had it was at a catered event. I’m glad we went back. It’s an old school classic. Supporting or neighbors will be a joy. Can’t wait to try the chow mein.“

“My family and I have been to many restaurants that serve dumplings, but I have never been to one that has had dumplings this good! Dough Zone provides many different foods, such as steamed buns, fried rice, and their classic xia long BAO (soup filled dumplings)It does get pretty loud during dinner rush, but the food makes up for it! I must say,I have been here many times but I have NEVER gotten bored of their food! 5/5!“

“Me and my co-workers love the pork floss rolls here. It’s so creamy and fluffy. We always call ahead to order and pick up the day after because it’s always sold out when we come😅 the staffs are very nice and helpful. One time, we ordered 10 rolls but it’s not fluffy as usual so I let them know. They are so sweet to give us another 10 rolls. We really appreciate it. We love this place. Wo ai ni 😗😚“

“ChiHo Bistro has quickly become one of my favorite spots, especially if you’re a truffle lover. You honestly can’t go wrong with anything truffle here , every dish feels rich, balanced, and thoughtfully executed without being overpowering.
The standout for me has to be the truffle XLB. Each dumpling is packed with savory broth and finished with an earthy truffle flavor that takes the entire bite to another level. It’s INCREDIBLY comforting,
The truffle fried rice is easily one of the best fried rices around. Perfectly seasoned with a deep wok flavor, every grain is flavorful without feeling heavy, and the truffle ties everything together beautifully. It’s one of those dishes you keep thinking about long after the meal is over.
Their duck is another must-order. Crispy skin, tender meat, and packed with flavor. It pairs perfectly with the richer truffle dishes and rounds out the meal so well.
Overall, ChiHo Bistro delivers a unique mix of comfort and elevated flavors. The quality, attention to detail, and balance in every dish make it a spot I’m always excited to come back to.“

“I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PLACE!! i tried their pork buns and matcha sesame ball.
the pork was nicely tender and had a good flavor to it.
the matcha sesame ball was delicious and my fav. the dough was good amount of greasy. it's filled with black sesame filling which was u expecting considering it being matcha, so it didn't really give matcha. but i love it and would absolutely recommend it!“

“The dumplings were on point, and the mushroom egg soup was delicious. It is admirable to see the owner hosting, cooking, serving and bussing. The decore is a bit dated, but it is clean and always friendly. You’ll have to ask for soy sauce, don’t be shy. Definitely worth supporting her business and her delicious food.“

“The beef brisket quality is excellent, and the flavor is 10/10. The chicken and abalone congee really suits my taste. The Hong Kong milk tea tastes very authentic, and the satay beef rice noodles are my favorite. I highly recommend this authentic Hong Kong-style café. Every time I come to Chinatown, I make sure to stop by and eat here.“

“Outstanding food and excellent customer service! We ordered several dishes for the table, including dumplings, sesame chicken, lo mein, and fried rice. Every single item was delicious and beautifully presented. The flavors tasted authentic and balanced, not overly salty or greasy like some places. The staff checked on us regularly and made sure our drinks stayed full. Wonderful dining experience from start to finish.“

“One of our best seafood meals in Seattle! We had Sandy as our waitress and she was amazing, gave the best recommendations. We had the geoduck for the first time, poached and in a tofu and mustard green soup. We ate it with hot mustard and soy sauce with jalapenos. Get the pea shoots with garlic too. Service was amazing and dungeness crab and geoduck was so fresh and sweet. This might be one of the best seafood restaurants in Seattle or anywhere and they open until 3:30am. Unreal place! Highly recommend!“

“First order: I was really excited. The portions felt on par with what I would expect for the cost, and most importantly, the meals seemed fresh. The flavors were really good and packaged well. As someone who hates leftovers, I really enjoyed my first order. I would have given 4/5 stars.
My second order this week, not so much. (Maybe I ordered the wrong things this week). The breakfast portions were small (I was still hungry afterward), and the quality didn’t feel the same as the week before. The scrambled eggs with asparagus turned the eggs slimy and brown—not the most appealing. Dinners during the second week were decent but included fillers, like what appeared to be canned green beans. More roasted broccoli would have felt better, in my opinion.
So it depends on the week, I guess. I already ordered for next week, so we’ll see. I’ll update my review if the quality improves. I would order again for convenience (I’m currently postpartum, so having premade meals is super helpful!), but for this price point, I would expect the quality to stay consistent or improve.“

“Best place for family style dinner. The variety of food is amazing!! The seating capacity is quite good. A/V quality needs to be improved but manageable. Their menu is quite big and the location is picture perfect- right on the Lake Union with tons of free parking.“

“The owner was generous enough to offer samples, and we ended up liking everything so much we had to go with the sampler combo. Everything was packed with flavor and fragrance, the Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice especially, and the homemade strawberry lemonade was also incredibly fresh and delicious on a warm day. Overall, absolutely one of the best food trucks I have experienced at the Market.“

“Good place to get Dim Sum dishes.
I've tried the BBQ pork, pork belly, roasted duck, hum bow, shrimp balls, chicken feet, siumai and sesame balls... all dond reasonably well. They also prepare rice and noodle dishes. One can call ahead to order larger group sized orders for parties.
Friendly and helpful staff.“

“The service is absolutely terrible. I would give it a negative 10 if I could. I bought two steamed buns which can perfectly fit into a paper bag. The staff put them in a plastic box without asking me so she can charge me the box fee. I told her I do not need a box and please put them in a paper bag. The staff yelled at me "Don't ever come back again!!!" It is like robbery in plain day light. They force you to purchase the plastic box you do not need. I noticed they used to have plastic plates for dining ins, but now they got rid of all the plastic plates so customers who eat in have no option but to buy their plastic boxes. This is forced sale. How Sneaky! The staff are always yelling at you and extremely rude. They are incapble of speaking normally. Definitely avoid this place.“

“Foo Lam has some of the most authentic Chinese meals in all of Seattle. It is well worth the trip no matter what side of town you are on. Their Dim Sum, their steamed/fried Shrimp and other meatballs, Congee, and assortment of Chinese eats are top notch. Their cleanliness could definitely be much improved, and their to go service sometimes is questionable as far as them giving you sufficient materials- but from a pure food standpoint the cook and staff are great. And for a quick snack, they have great Spicy, Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings.“

“Hands down the best clay pot rice in Washington, especially the yellow eel one. It's super rare to have clay pot rice in the US, very surprised that they are making such authentic one here. This dish is not hard to make, but very difficult to have such good taste. Balanced flavor, fresh ingredients, perfect crisp for the bottom layer of rice. They also have a lot of other authentic dishes which we will being going back and try them all out. You can clearly tell the skill of the cook from the flavor of just this one dish. We also had some veggie and fish, they are also very good, fresh, balance flavor.“

“For me, it was by far the best dimsum and Cantonese restaurant in Seattle/Bellevue area. We had 12 people including 5 kids and everyone enjoyed all the dishes we had. Food wasn’t too salty unlike for most places. We paid a lot more than what we usually did in other places but I think that it was because we ordered a market price dish. It was worth it.“

“Clean and open Dim Sum restaurant inside Factoria Mall. The service was great where the food came out quick, the wait staff were friendly and water/tea stayed filled. Overall the food was good, not the best, but also a great option if you’re on the Eastside and wanting dimsum without waiting in long lines on the weekends. The prices may seem high, but the portions are double the standard size you’re accustomed to. Shu mai, you get 8 vs 4 is an example of that. Had the shu mai, har gao, bbq pork buns ( steamed and baked), rice rolls with bbq pork & shrimp, taro balls, congee, Chinese donut, and fried rice for the kids. Definitely would come back just for the convenience.“

“Early Bird Cafe is exactly the kind of locally owned restaurant every neighborhood hopes to have. From the moment you walk in, the owner and staff make you feel welcome with their genuine friendliness and hospitality.
The menu is extensive, offering something for everyone, and we've never been disappointed by anything we've ordered. Some of our favorites include the Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Eggplant in Garlic Sauce, and General Tso's Chicken. Every dish is flavorful, well-prepared, and served in generous portions that provide great value. They also offer an impressive selection of Boba drinks, making it easy to find something new to try.
What keeps us coming back, however, is the exceptional customer service. The owner is incredibly kind and often goes above and beyond - making sure guests have a great experience. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority.
In a time when great service can be hard to find, Early Bird Cafe stands out as a true neighborhood gem. If you're looking for delicious food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, this is a fantastic choice for local dining. Highly recommended!“
