“Our first visit was yesterday for lunch and we had Chicken Xiao Long Bao, Chicken pan-fried potstickers, Chicken and Vegetable Won-tons in sweet and sour sauce and Spicy (Ma la) noodles.....all were very good! The service was excellent and we enjoyed the whole experience!!“

I grew up I Seattle and ate arcade Garden and Thai Tung for years bits been 30: years since then. Tonight we ordered using door dash, Kung Pao chicken and won ton noodle soup with chicken. “Cute homey space with flavorful food and unique Xinjiang dishes, and warm service. You feel the care in the food. Large variety of dishes makes it great for a group lunch outing. Standouts are the spiced lamb meat pie, and cilantro beef appetizer. I bought their green pepper chili oil to take home, and it's seriously good on everything! Mala numbing feeling and depth of flavor.“

“We had the ginger chicken and house fried rice. This place is one of the only Chinese restaurant left in Beacon Hill. This says a lot considering this use to be a Chinese neighborhood. The food is classic Chinese American. We will definitely be going back to contributing to their preservation. The first time we had it was at a catered event. I’m glad we went back. It’s an old school classic. Supporting or neighbors will be a joy. Can’t wait to try the chow mein.“

“My second time for dim sum on Sundays. The food was so delicious. I see why there’s a crowd waiting in line before opening!! I went there 20-30 min before opening to get guaranteed parking in the small side lot and/or lot across the street. There’s plenty of tables in main lobby and an upstair. Ordering food was pretty streamline. No cart. Use app/tablet to order food and they will bring it out. I didn’t wait too long!“

“The service is absolutely terrible. I would give it a negative 10 if I could. I bought two steamed buns which can perfectly fit into a paper bag. The staff put them in a plastic box without asking me so she can charge me the box fee. I told her I do not need a box and please put them in a paper bag. The staff yelled at me "Don't ever come back again!!!" It is like robbery in plain day light. They force you to purchase the plastic box you do not need. I noticed they used to have plastic plates for dining ins, but now they got rid of all the plastic plates so customers who eat in have no option but to buy their plastic boxes. This is forced sale. How Sneaky! The staff are always yelling at you and extremely rude. They are incapble of speaking normally. Definitely avoid this place.“

“I loved the hum bao, just wish it had a bit more filling. I did try a crab Rangoon..... and let me tell you, that beast was worth $4! It was enormous and had very good amount of crab in it! The taro Boba was awesome. I want to come back and try the pork skewer. And maybe a few other things!“

“I would recommend this for anyone looking for an excellent dim sum value with nice staff. The portions are huge and the price is reasonable. That makes me badly want to be able to give this place five stars, but the quality of the food just wasn't there for a five star rating, and despite being very nice, the service was slow even though only three tables were full (I think because most orders are delivery and takeout). The rice rolls had generous portions but the sauce was not flavorful and the texture wasn't right (very much more gloopy than I'm used to). The fried pork buns (colloquially: footballs) were too sweet and were served cold. The skin on the stuffed eggplant was too tough to eat. I'd definitely go back when I'm in the mood for dim sum and don't have much cash to spend, but I'd never take friends who've been to Hong Kong.“

We had a work photoshoot down the street and placed a massive order. The entire order was correct, the food was fantastic, and they had vegan and vegetarian options for our needs as well. The salt and pepper tofu was some of the best tofu I've ever had, and I also personally got the curry dish which was delightful.“

“I’ve been coming here for as long as I can remember and it’s still my favorite Chinese food I’ve ever had. Before it was Chiang’s it was called China Harbin in the eighties and before that it was a Pizza Hut, hence its architectural shape. Ordering off both the American Chinese Menu as well as the traditional Chinese Menu is a must. Highly recommend their hot and sour soup, housemade noodles, scallion pancakes, Chinese greens, and salt and pepper prawns. My son ate an entire tray of noodles to himself. Also kind of a bonus their fortune cookies are the best— both in taste and the fortune itself. My fortune was on point.“

“I live rather close to this hidden gem and decided to try it this week. I placed a large takeout order for pick up later and my order was ready promptly and was nice and hot! My partner and I especially loved the General Tso's Tofu and the Pan Fried Turnip Cake. The atmosphere looked immaculate when I went to pick up my order, I can't wait to dine in next time!“

“Very good! The shrimp, chive and pork dumplings we got were great and the BBQ steamed pork buns were delicious and unique from the standard pork bungs that tend to be rather sweet. Everything seemed to be made to order too. Very nice couple running the place. Definitely coming back.“

“I visited with my family right after the FIFA game ended. Luckily, we were seated immediately, though people arriving shortly after us faced an hour-long wait.

The food was the absolute highlight, the General Tso's chicken, Mongolian beef, and sizzling oyster were all amazing, flavorful, and served fresh and warm. It did take a while for the dishes to arrive, but the taste made up for the delay.

The overall ambience was just okay and could use some improvement. The restaurant also seemed heavily understaffed; we had to flag down the staff multiple times just to get water refills and our final bill. Come for the incredible food, but be prepared for a potential wait and slower service during peak times!“

“The owner was generous enough to offer samples, and we ended up liking everything so much we had to go with the sampler combo. Everything was packed with flavor and fragrance, the Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice especially, and the homemade strawberry lemonade was also incredibly fresh and delicious on a warm day. Overall, absolutely one of the best food trucks I have experienced at the Market.“

Food: is not sweet like other mainstream Chinese food so expect more sour and salty flavors. I liked their 小笼包 but all of them were popped and had no soup inside. The flavor and dough was still really good and moist. Companion really liked their lamb skewer it was not dry.“

I've tried the BBQ pork, pork belly, roasted duck, hum bow, shrimp balls, chicken feet, siumai and sesame balls... all dond reasonably well. They also prepare rice and noodle dishes. One can call ahead to order larger group sized orders for parties.

“Foo Lam has some of the most authentic Chinese meals in all of Seattle. It is well worth the trip no matter what side of town you are on. Their Dim Sum, their steamed/fried Shrimp and other meatballs, Congee, and assortment of Chinese eats are top notch. Their cleanliness could definitely be much improved, and their to go service sometimes is questionable as far as them giving you sufficient materials- but from a pure food standpoint the cook and staff are great. And for a quick snack, they have great Spicy, Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings.“

“The coconut chicken here is incredibly authentic. The chicken is fresh and tender, and the coconut broth is naturally sweet and delicious. I’ve been back several times, and every visit has been great. The set also comes with other meats, and the shrimp paste and beef paste are both delicious. Highly recommend!“

“Delicious comfort Chinese food“

“This restaurant, formerly known as Joy Palace, has been one of my favorite places to dine for over 30 years. It’s always a pleasure to return and see familiar faces among the staff. The restaurant is clean, well maintained, and provides excellent customer service. The owner is welcoming and genuinely cares about guests’ dining experiences, while the food is consistently well presented and full of flavor.

Some of my favorite dishes include the salted fish fried rice, stir-fried crab with ginger and green onion, salt & pepper prawns, and the crab maw soup, which comes in a generous portion that’s perfect for sharing. Their dim sum is also a highlight, with a wonderful selection available during the morning and afternoon. Everything I’ve had from the dim sum carts has been fresh and delicious.

The reason for my 4-star rating is a few inconsistencies with takeout orders. On a couple of occasions, the shumai in my to-go order was undercooked. I’ve also found that certain menu items, such as fried rice, aren’t available early in the day because only the dim sum kitchen is open until the main kitchen starts service. While I understand the kitchen schedule, it can be confusing if you’re expecting the full menu. Even with those minor issues, this restaurant continues to be one of my favorite places for Cantonese cuisine, and I’ll gladly keep coming back.“

“Going here has been a tradition for me and my family. Once we started we couldn’t stop. Now every time I visit Seattle we have to go at least once. In fact when I first came here, I recorded the address to make sure I could come back in the future. Because the food was just that delicious. And so far it has never failed to disappoint.“
