The service was wonderful and the ambiance relaxing. The appetizer was very good. Then it began to go downhill. The soup lacked character. The side order was over cooked and fell short of expectations. I was very disappointed in the scallops with receiving only three. My daughter was satisfied with her lamb chops. Desert was adequate. Not a place we will return to.
Gardners was a true delight. We were here for our anniversary and were treated to a nice secluded table on a riser. Really like the privacy curtains. Each course was expertly prepared, from the calamari, to the French onion soup, to the savory house-made seafood fettuccine, cooked al dente, with those succulent clams and fresh Dungeness crab 🦀 running through that sumptuous cream sauce was a revelation. We went to Gardner's for our anniversary. It is situated downtown Olympia surrounded by some pretty famous restaurants. Those restaurants are modern looking and flashy. Gardner's is in an older more non-descriptive building with a dirt lot next to it. There's one little sign on the exterior. And not much of a storefront or windows to speak of.
