Fast service, inexpensive and delicious!
I’ve been going to the Hornets Nest in Oroville for… probably over 40 years at this point. Just got back in town and was excited to see it still open. Different owners, of course, but the burgers are just as good as always. Good shakes too. And they’ve added some Colombian dishes I can’t wait to try more of. The empanadas are really good! Also, the staff are fantastic.

Hornet's Nest serves amazing food with great burgers, unique menu options like Colombian empanadas with chicken, Arepas Rellenas with cheese and beef, Special Salchipapas, and a Colombian hot dog special. They also have incredible milkshakes, mango iced tea, and coconut lemonade. The staff is always lovely, treats you like family, and provides great customer service with genuine smiles. Although wait times can be slow since everything is made to order, it's a great option for dine-in or take-out, especially by the lake. Everything is neat and tidy, and the service is first class. Vegetarian options include Cheese Arepas. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
