“I ordered the grilled veggie salad and loved every bite! It was loaded with sweet potato, beets, cauliflower, zucchini, cucmber and olives on a bed of spring greens. My friend had the grilled chicken drum and said the chicken was tender and flavorful.
It was fairly noisy, but everything else was outstanding. We will be back soon“

“I had an amazing experience at Tandoori Slice! I tried the Paneer Tikka Pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was perfectly crispy and tasted incredibly fresh. The flavors were balanced so well—nothing was overdone, and every bite had the perfect taste. It was easily one of the best Indian-style pizzas I’ve had.

I also ordered the Alfredo Pasta, and it was just as impressive. It was rich, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.

“Sitting in my car shaking and crying, barely able to compose myself to drive right now. Those who frequent Auntie Irene's beware of the owner. She just yelled at me infront of the whole shop, about parking out front. It sent me into a anxiety riddened, ptsd fueled state. There were zero parking stalls when l pulled into the coffee shop. l was grabbing my one coffee and leaving. l would be there for 5 minutes maybe 10 at most. I parked snuggled up along the the flower bed north of the shop, in front of the rhodedendron/north of the deck. On the other side of the flower bed is parking stalls. Just to exactly detail where l was parked. Completely out of anyone's way. There is no posted sign saying "no parking here", nor is it a painted fire lane. If that were the case, of course l wouldn't park there. That's obvious. I was not blocking her drive thru window line or blocking either entrance to her shop. I wasn't in the way of people needing to back out ,since they have to turn the other way to exit. After placing my coffee order, an waiting about 5 minutes at a table, she came out of no where and reprimanded me like a child....She could have politely introduced herself and asked me to move. She never even told me who she was. For all l knew, she was a crazed lady bossing me around. No "hi", "hello" or "how are you?". She just marched up to me without identifying shes the owner and started in on me. I would have had zero problem being asked to move, if she had gone about it in a decent manner, that most "adults" are capable of. Her tone was egregious and severely uncalled for. Over the years, l have heard rumors about an aggressive, petite, blonde haired, older lady named Susie as the owner. That was the only reason l deduced this must be the owner, becuase like l stated she did not tell me who she was at all. But, l had only ever seen her maybe 3 times, in all the years I've been going there. I have never spoken to her or even had an one on one encounter with her. So, for her to treat me, complete stranger, who is paying for a comfortable place to enjoy coffee like this, this is wildly uncalled for. I'm a full grown adult mind you, though lve been told, l look young for my age. Even if l was young, it still would not make this encounter okay at all. l was so taken a back, l couldn't even mutter a reply to her. l ran out of the shop and immediately reparked my car. There were stalls open at this point. l had to smoke a cigarette to calm down before l went back in, it rattled me so badly. l was barely able to muster up the courage to go back in for my coffee, without feeling like l was going to start breaking out into tears, if l saw her or had to encounter her again to get my coffee. I came back in, and by then she was no where to be seen... She wasn't there to thank me for moving and understanding her concern. Nothing, she just disappeared. She ambush disciplined me and disappeared, which made it even weirder and more upsetting...Anyways, when l came back in the staff asked me where l went? l didn't want to tell them what happened, so l pretended like l didn't hear their question and barely got out a stiffled, whimper of a "thank you" to them. Rushing out of the shop before they had a chance to see me upset.. I didn't want them to think they were the reason l was in this clearly emotional state. They didn't do anything wrong, so l wasn't about to complain to them about their own boss.There would be nothing they could do about her actions, if she's in charge, ya know? When l got back to my car, l broke down in tears, past PTSD trauma flooding in. I've had experiences like this with some past elder women bosses, in my younger years. I've been subject to 3 very unprofessional older female boss's. Who, in over the years had treated me completely horribly and were very verbally abusive. One even grabbed my arm so hard she left bruising. All of them traumatizing me, using their p“

“If you’re a spooky guy or gal like me who wants a fabulous design for your wedding/event cake, the Wanna Cupcake team has GOT you! I didn’t find many review photos of full size cakes in my research, so I was worried my ask was too tall, but man did this shop deliver! They totally nailed the inspiration photo I sent, it came out identical to my vision. We ordered a 6 inch cutting cake and enough cupcakes for 1.5 per guest, and they were a huge hit! It was also a huge relief to have the delivery and setup option for our wedding day; Hannah delivered our cakes at the perfect temp for our outdoor event, and even helped our coordinator set and design the cake table! My husband and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how our cake turned out for our special day. Massive THANK YOU to Karie, Hannah, and Jennavieve for maintaining timely communication with us throughout the year, you all made this such an easy and fun process! “I am a huge pho connoisseur and been to many spots around the great Seattle area (mostly south in federal way, Kent, Renton) and this is my new favorite spot. Service is always great, clean and modern interior, and the pho is 🔥🔥. Price is fair compared to other spots, and if you come with friends and family they have a variety of other options like phad thai and teriyaki. Highly recommend if you are in the kent-east hill area!!

To those bigger eaters like me (I go all out on pho) the large bowl is definitely a Large bowl with ample portions of everything: more noodles, meat, and soup. And again the service is always amazing and kitchen staff are always on point with timing and quality.“

“I ordered food Appethaizing Thaih through uber eats. When the food arrived, we saw we only got our appetizers. I tried to contact the Uber driver in vain. So then I called the restaurant and was told the driver had only gotten one bag of food. The restaurant called the driver as soon as they realized he'd only picked up a portion of the order, but the driver's response was a noncommittal 'okay'. They hung up and we hoped the uber driver would return to the restaurant. I then got a call back from the restaurant. I didn’t order the combos on purpose but who knew the Japanese food and Chinese food complimented each other very well. Talking about a great service, my wife order the sesame balls for a dessert. 2 of 5 were a bit under cooked somehow. We broke them a part but didn’t eat them. One other staffs walked by and asked if we didn’t like. My wife told her those 2 seemed like they are not full cooked so we didn’t want to eat them but we are okayed. She then insisted that she asked the chef to make a fresh batch of 5 for us. This time they were perfectly cooked. I was impressed with her and felt very appreciative. “I can't believe I've lived in this area for more than a decade and never stopped into Koong Thong Thai Restaurant. What a pleasant surprise!

I'm pretty particular about Thai food, and I have one dish I order everywhere I go: Drunken Wide Noodles (Pad Kee Mao). My philosophy is simple—if a restaurant can make an outstanding plate of drunken noodles, chances are they know how to cook everything else well.

Koong Thong did not disappoint. The noodles were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Every bite had a balanced, authentic taste without being overly salty or greasy. You could tell the ingredients were fresh, and the quality really stood out.

What impressed me just as much was the value. The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and the overall experience far exceeded my expectations. It has that hidden-gem, neighborhood feel—the kind of place you almost don't want to tell anyone about because it's such a great find.

If you've driven by this restaurant like I have for years without stopping, do yourself a favor and give it a try. I'm so glad I finally did, and I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu.
